SAM HAMMAM - A GENTLEMAN & A CHARACTER...

Fri Jul 26, 2013 6:21 pm

I had the pleasure of sitting by Sam throughout the Forest Green game & I thought he was a really top bloke. He spent time with the fans and was happy to have photos and sign autographs the whole time he was there. Having said that, what impressed me most was the fact he didn't take his eyes off the pitch while the game was on. He watched every kick & was getting involved just like we do. It was great to see.
I know people have mixed views on Sam and I don't think that will ever change. Of course he made mistakes but you can tell from just meeting and talking to him, that he really loves the club & Tan recognises that.
I'm sure he will have a big influence on a lot of people going forward and I'm glad to see him back.
As for playing in red, I don't like it but it certainty doesn't bother me as much as it bothers others. What people need to remember is that if anyone can persuade Tan to change back to blue, I'm sure its Sam Hammam.

Loved us so much he was willing to destroy us. Wish my parents showed me that much love :laughing6:

To be fair he's always been a character and charismatic but no thanks to me and I expect Tan wouldnt have let him back if it wasnt for making the deal cheaper.

Glad you had a good day though :ayatollah:

While he is still owed money ian he will adopt the tan stance but the life presidency role allows him no influence and even his accountant has no power in the board room.
I believe once he has received all his money we will see very little of Sam at the club

All I will say is Sam has many faults, but he has always been a gent when meeting the fans, he will go out of his way for anyone.

No it's not Natman wrong again as usual, it's a lad called Olly who lives in Marshfield and yes you will see him next to Sam in the photos that are on here.

Clever post editing. "Posters like me" I call it as I see it, sometimes people don't like it but at least I'm up front and honest. Olly I think you realise I wasn't on your back just having a bit of a laugh. Although there are plenty of false accounts on here.

Nothing wrong with posting as you see it (providing there is some logic behind it) and I quite like reading your contributions.

However, this thing about accusing others of having 'false accounts' is becoming a bit of a bore (sorry that's how I see it) and I wish everyone would get away from it.
