I've just paid a visit to CCMB

I don't bother with the CCMB message board, no reason for this in particular, I've just not given it a chance as I get my forum fix here.

Well I just had a quick butchers and I was surprised too see so many of their threads are about this board or Carl and Annis, is it always that way or is it just like that at the moment?

CCMB used to be a really good board, but these days it's full of people either crying about the rebrand (still) or poking fun at this board. Shame.

Some good posters on there but these days it's quite difficult to spot a CCFC related thread, as u say usually about Carl or Annis, or politics

To be fair to him, Mike did used to remove a lot of it, but for some reason he's not so hot on it these days.

Exactly, it achieves nothing.

Like every Cardiff fan I would prefer us to play in blue, but a few posters in particular (EJ, BWS, TLG etc...) have taken it so badly they would actually love us to fail in the prem, so we all 'get what we deserve'. They're like jilted lovers who can't just have a wank and move on like normal people but instead turn into bunny boilers that want their ex to be miserable, never shutting up about how unfair it all is. Pathetic.

Boycotting the club is the sort of thing that could make a difference (if enough people did it). Mocking and sniping at those of us who don't feel as strongly about it actually has the opposite effect and turns people against the cause.

It used to be a very good board with some great bloggers, but it's gone down hill for some time now, i hardly go on there anymore never mind post on there.

I'd say 99% of the posts relating to this forum on CCMB are about Carl and to be honest he brings a lot of it on himself and I feel he actually likes the "hassle" no offence Carl I don't know you but feck me you put yourself in the firing line what do you expect people on another CCFC board not to talk about it?

But this is cyberspace not CCS. Of course there is bitching between the boards but come match we are all CCFC.

What I'm interested in, is how this forum came about. Was it just a simple case of an unofficial, independent forum being set up?

At the time it was set up I remember Annis mentioning something about Big Gwyn having a big influence. Of course there are the books which were just being published and we had the Riddler with his hands in the till.
