Cardiff City have struck again. A goalkeeper is in South Wales having his medical. Simon Moore from Brentford set to complete move today.
Cardiff City's new keeper is 6ft 3ins Simon Moore - and David James reckons he could be a future England keeper. Having his medical now

My guess will be that he will have a run out in the Cups. David James rates him highly.
Well done Malky

bit of a mad jump that for him isnt it? will he also be involved with lewis our cup/backup keeper? or will he be on loan/dvp squad?
Thu Jul 25, 2013 4:45 pm
I think it'll be good we'll have 3 keepers but I can see Moore playing in the cups/DVP, so Moore over Lewis

Any mention of a fee involved in the deal?

Not to put a downer on this but, it s[/list]ays he was recently injured... would that mean he could possibly fail the medical? I am not sure how it all works...

I'm sure if they already know what the injury is they can let it through not sure but I have seen several players sign when they were injured before

Apparently Rooney's injured but it's not stopping Chelsea from bidding is it

I got very excited for a moment as I have a Simon Moore on my FM 12 save who's a very highly rated 15 year old Left Back prospect.
Then I realised my game is in 2025 and he's only 5 at this point

@nicojc5 I don't need to give a source - it will happen or not tomorrow. Proof.
Not done yet.

Seems a good prospect and just the type of keeper we need to challenge Marshall.

everyone is rating him highly, so only means good news

First team at Bees who failed at Wembley playoff; tall excellent keeper from the Isle of Wight. Injured ankle in pre season friendly. Fans were worried he's sign for a Championship team in summer. Very surprised he'd come as third choice; wonder if Lewis is moving on. Also surprised Bees let him go. Other keeper injured (recovering from hair transplant I kid you not) Lee and the boy playing is Bonhma who had the disatrous Watford play off game! Still, good news for City if true.

I am so glad of that cos I don't rate joe Lewis I'm sorry

Those of you who slate Joe Lewis probably haven seen him play.
Then you say you're happy because he's better than Lewis, and I'd wager you haven't seen him play either.

This is a signing that is impressive on paper.
He is a talent but, especially for a keeper, young and inexperienced.
However, it possibly shows that our management team are building for the future rather than buying in old and knackered names on silly terms.
I like this possible shift in transfer policy as long as wealso invest in the right sort of players who can guide the young talent.

If he does sign , then he maybe better going out on loan with a recall clause , to get some more experience
