Malky Mackay was tracking Kimbo while he was managing at Watford.

Malky's scouting team at Watford watched Kimbo play for Cerezo Osaka on several occasions and Malky flew out to watch him after some glowing reports.

Malky didn't have the budget to sign Kimbo in his first season at Cardiff but made sure he got his man when VT released funds for a bigger budget last season.

transfer rumours are the only thing that gets me through the summer you know half of them are bullshit but they're the most fun. plus whats to say carl hasn't been right but things have fell through. Malky has said himself he is fining it hard to convince players to join i understand where you're coming from though.

Why is it people who can see the truth and point it out are labelled snipers?
Nobody is having a dig, just pointing out Carl doesn't know the level of stuff he used to when he had someone feeding him good info, so obviously he will have more right than wrong, but that will change now as there are NO leaks in the club.

I think this summer has been a nightmare because of all the useless rumours. Its our first
season in the Premiership and we've been linked with everyone. The ones Carl has got wrong
have been no worse than the ones anyone else got wrong. I'm not even Wiki'ing any names
