Cardiff City Facebook page

Cardiff City have very kindly taken over and closed down the facebook page that I have been running for over 3 years and spent many hours on. Guess they didn't like the competition of over 27k followers

I tried to remain neutral, although it did have the old badge as the profile photo

What a joke and wasted years for nothing now, the thing is your a blue whos also been linked to bluebirds unite, sad but thats how we are these days at TANS club

They've basically merged the likes as well, the official CCFC facebook page has gone from 38k likes to 49k in just 1 day...

Can you blame them? It's their name etc, make a fan page ini butt

The only thing I got was this email, by which stage it had already been done:

I'm sure they know the rules of how it works and you were obviously in the wrong somewhere along the line .
If Someone was using my company name over social networking sites I wouldn't be too happy either tbh

I know this might sound harsh as you put alot of time into it but its only a facebook page. I can't blame them, we are now in the premier league where there is a higher media attention and I guess they would rather keep things linked to them in order. Its a bit sad having a pop at the club over this. Just start a fan page or something

I now realise with hindsight that it was probably wrong, but I was given no warning or opportunity to clarify/change. Never mind fan site it is

Reminds me when someone pretended to be Cristiano Ronaldo, posted so many photos of him etc, acted like him, posted what he done etc, had loads of followers/likes and ended up losing it all. Hope you're ok Jon

Looks like the Cardiff City facebook page issues were unintentionally caused by the club. I have been advised they will be restored within 24 hours
