Junior malanda link

Wed Jul 24, 2013 6:17 pm

From Facebook
Not sure what the source is it doesn't say :?
Hope it's true as he's a great up and coming player :ayatollah:

Junior Malanda has flown into Britain from Belgium to hold talks with premier league clubs including Chelsea , Fulham and new boys Cardiff City .
The 18-year old Belgium Under 21 midfielder went AWOL from his club Zulte Waregem in an effort to force a move to one of his Barclays Premier League suitors.
Malanda , a powerful defensive midfielder tipped to make as big an impact on the game as fellow-countryman Fellaini, confirmed he is now on the market for next-to-nothing by saying: ‘I broke my contract with Zulte in order to pursue better options for my career in a bigger league, like the Premier League or Bundesliga. My aim is to play in England or Germany, and I hope that now happens.’

Says something when we can't attract eighteen year olds  I wouldn't read anything in to it, maybe we're interested but don't want to put our name into the hat so it looks like we don't miss out

Let's say Malanda did sign for us - what happens if his head gets even further up his arse and he decides to break his contract to force a move to a bigger club?

He's 18 and his team finished second in the Belgian Pro League, meaning they have the chance to play Champions League football next season.

Why on Earth would he want to get away so fast? :?

Doesn't look like he'd be committed if he went AWOL with his old club. MM wouldn't want him.

At least it's a feasible link to a promising youngster who we would have a decent chance of signing not megastar European strikers for 10 mill plus !
I agree the breaking of his contract would be worrying though aswell as his attitude .

Only chance we would have of signing him would be if he would be wanting to play first team football rather than sitting on the bench or in the reserves at one of the bigger clubs
