VT buys 6 mil worth of shares in REDTONE

KUALA LUMPUR: Tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan bought 5.978 million shares of REDtone International Bhd on July 18 and 19.
A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed he bought the 1.22% stake from the open market. The share price closed at 80 sen on July 19, which was the highest since December 2005.
The filing showed he was also deemed interest in 66.20 million shares or 13.58% stake in REDtone which is held Berjaya Group Bhd.
REDtone is a telecommunications company and a Wi-Fi infrastructure builder.

Its not £6m worth. 80 sen is about 18p so the shares cost about £1m to add to the holding he already had through Berjaya
