Can Tan turn a Profit?

With the stadium expansion due next season, is it possible for Tan to make a yearly profit, with the extra income from seats etc. I cant see why not when other teams do it?

Yes but it makes PL survival extremely important if he wants to.

It is possible but essentially he has invested his own money and given it to the business for equity rather than an interest loan. It would also be essential to ensure the loan to Micheal Isaac is repaid as I think the interest rate is rather high. However the essential issue here is we must stay up and build from there. I suspect the tactic could then be to ensure merchandising increases, sponsorship, tv deals in Asia/ USA /Australia etc. While the club could then possibly be floated. If it is then there is a prime opportunity for the Trust to really push their organisation and try to purchase shares. For example if the fans joined the trust and they put a share package together then if one could get a structured membership share purchasing starting from members putting from £100 to £20,000 in to purchase shares then is it possible we could get 30,000 fans signed up and raise £100m ? Which would be an average of £3330 per fan. A massive amount. Or alternatively is there more fans who would wish to own part of Cardiff City? On this basis a chairman would be elected by a vote with the fans who would then be on the board. A little visionary but I think it is achievable and if we as fans really want a true influence then the trust organisation is a good way to go and I suspect if the trust we able to raise this sort of money Mr Tan would undoubtedly do a deal on equity in any case. The issue really comes if we can not run at a profit. Nevertheless then every fan would have an influence in the club with a large percentage being fan owned. A one off payment plus year on year season ticket and a small admin fee for the opportunity to own , vote for a set criteria say chairman of the trust and board member. Food for thought?
