Vincent Tan delivers again.

Mon Jul 22, 2013 10:41 pm

There will be quite a few posters on here eating humble pie when VT turns his debt to equity. :ayatollah:

VT has done the right thing for our club again. Long may it continue. :ayatollah:

VT is easily the best owner our club has ever had. :ayatollah:

I wish he would change that badge. VT did say he would consult with fans in the future about a new badge. Hopefully he will deliver on that as well. :ayatollah:

I won't be eating humble pie. I've always said my favourite time supporting our club was the Eddie May era, a time when I really felt a part of my club as a junior Bluebird and felt a real passionate emotional connection cheering on the Bluebirds in blue.

Tan can give us all the money, facilities and success he wants, but I will never enjoy supporting us as much as I did back during the Eddie May era. An era where we were in the bottom tier of the football league, but an era where I had a connection to my club, my local club that I used to be proud of.

Now I feel totally detached, I never thought I would experience scarfgate where I felt like an away fan in my own stadium. Tan's money will never change my feelings and emotions. Tan's money will never stop our club looking an embarassing laughing stock until we are given back our true identity.

Some of you just don't get it. To me, it doesn't matter how much good Tan does for us. Feeling part of my club means so much more to me than any future successes or trophies. I always dreamed we would one day reach the Premiership, but not this way, I still enjoyed the moment but it was soured by Tan's rebrand and I will never forgive him for making me feel this way.

The majority of you are being won over by the good Tan is doing us. I admit, rebrand aside, Tan has done wonders for our club. But the connection I once had is no longer there and until I get the connection back that I had during the Eddie May days, I will never be able to enjoy supporting us as much as I did back then, however successful we might become in the future.

On a serious note (not having a dig)... There will be more sad and eye sore days ahead with VT in charge. Whatever he does it will never be good enough. He ain't gunna go back to blue! I just wonder how are you or those that are anti tan going to overcome this dissapointment/betrayal? Do you stop going to games or still turn up to games and watch a team that you longer feel connected?

I will continue putting the pieces together until we get our identity back thank you very much.

You're spot on. Nothing Tan does will ever be good enough for me unless we get our colour and badge back. I am not disputing Tan is doing a lot of good to our club aside from the rebrand, but none of the good Tan does will make me feel any differently. I would have more elation if we, for example, win the FA trophy in blue ahead of winning the Champions League in red. That's just how I feel and nothing can change that.

At the same time, I cannot walk away and I will keep supporting my local team in blue and I will keep chanting pro blue songs along with thousands of others until we get continuously heard on MOTD, Sky TV and elsewhere around the world until everyone is talking about our desire to get our identity back.

To me, I'm a relatively young fan so the colour isn't a massive vital deciding factor to me. I'd stop going mostly if I didn't have anyone to go with or it gets extremely expensive for me to go, then as I get older will decide the more important things in life but the feeling of promotion iin April was insane. The way football is going, this is what we had to accept. No Tan hasn't paid his debt off yet but I hope he does soon so he sticks to his word and we become a more attractive club to investors.

I feel it's still Cardiff and still Cardiff City, the team still belongs to me etc and I'm proud to support them. :ayatollah:

Four paragraphs about a colour.

A colour.

I support Cardiff City because it's my city. My place of birth. My home.

Tan can't take that away from me.

Deluded imbecile.

Tan may have taken your identity away, but to anyone who actually has a life of their own, he's done nothing of the sort.

Grow up, get an education, go and see the world and stop harming the interests of very club you claim to love.

Yes I agree ,he was as good as his word, which goes to show his words has got truth about them.
I wish he would have just compromised ,with the kit & at lest use Blue shorts & Socks ,I like the dragon on the badge ,but dont like it as it is & I think the Bluebird should be bigger.
I guess you have to ask your self, If someone come to you and said I will pay off your house for you if you will wear this color or this badge how many of us would be honest enough to put up there hands and say they would ?

Why don't you send this to VT and let him know how you feel?
I agree it probably will not change anything, but who knows, a well written, non aggressive reasoning may start to put chinks in his way of thinking.

Cardiff City FC on their knees, HMRC moving in to take us to admin, looking grim.

In comes top businessman, turns club around, pays off debtors, kicks our rugby team, invests in squad and new training ground, states will turn debt to equity SO DEBT FREE CLUB IN 2013 in the Premier League (probably only teamwho can say that?)

So VT restores the true identity to Cardiff City, namely a big club in the top league and still people moan!!! Unbeleivable.

Its a shirt colour??

I honestly feel its time to make your mind up if blue really is the be all and end all then time to go.

Me? Prefer if blue but accept rebrand for VT.

Tonteg the Eddie May area wasnt about being blue. It was about no bubble games, reasonable costs, no banning orders and a crack. The world is different and thats not down to VT.

Tan has taken nothing away from me. My love for City is within so unless he plans on wiping the memory of me or killing me off then my feelings for us whilst we were blue live on. This is just a new chapter in the life of the club and its bigger than anyone of us and our feelings.
