Cardiff City are launching an ambitious bid for Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue.
Manager Malky Mackay has faced a series of disappointments in his efforts to attract top players but is hopeful of persuading the 25-year-old to move to Wales.
Capoue is valued at £10million and is keen to play in the Premier League where he has attracted interest from Tottenham, Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal in the past year.

We are determined not to sign any old player but that requires patience. Bear in mind that we don't even know if we are actually in for any of these players anyway. What will be will be hope we are as ambitious as the papers say though.

You're asking me a question on if i think we should strengthen and what areas? My sincere apologies for missing such a riveting and pertinent question. It doesn't take a genius to work out we're in the market for a defensive midfielder (there is another bid imminent) and that is also the case for a left winger( news to follow shortly on that), but instead of spending half of my life focussing on negativity like yourself
