In my opinion any honourary role such as this comes with no real responsibility, he will have a place in the directors box for matches and perhaps you'll get the odd comment from him after games, but I don't believe he will have any real influence on the boardroom nor the playing squad.

That's purely a guess though

It is a title given to an individual in recognition of their endeavours for the organisation. It carries no power and requires duties to be undertaken by the individual apart from ceremonial duties. In our case this probably means attending high profile games, presentations or awards ceremonies.

Wtf my CEO at work gets that treatment from match days! Only difference is he comments back to us at work on Monday mornings.
