Some reassuring data regarding transfers!

Mon Jul 22, 2013 5:59 pm

Trying to stay the optimist here as the transfer windows moves along, so ive sourced some reassuring info from the last summer transfer window, Malky done most of his shopping late on last year too, so lets not freak out just yet:

These dates are the dates they joined us-

Jordan Mutch 23/06/12
Etien Velikonja 25/07/12
Kim-Bo Kyung 01/08/12
Heidar Helguson 02/08/12
Craig Bellamy 10/08/12
Matt Connolly 22/08/12
Tommy Smith 24/08/12
Craig Noone 30/08/12
Nicky Maynard 31/08/12

Found this data online, I assume its all correct???

Thats how it feels mate.

Could have one or two in this week I think. Who knows? Nobody.

My theory is that Malky is waiting to see what top 10 teams players are surplus to reqirements. and snatching one or two of them.

Just my theory though

Exactly none of the big clubs have offloaded players yet i.e Rooney for the mancs once this starts to happen you will see the trickle down effect as other players move :ayatollah:

People are panacking because we are getting beat to 'targets' or rejected. I bet it happens all the time but because we are after higher profile players its harder to keep any deals quiet. I expect we have missed put on other targets other than Wanyama, Ince and Oliviera aswell but we must keep faith. Apart from Velikonja I think Malky has been excellent with his signings and I trust him with large amounts of money.

We will stay up, I predict 16th with Hull, Palace, Stoke and Sunderland finishing below us. Keep the faith and back Malky and the team

Clubs are more sure of their squads etc during August. Therefor start shifting personnel around.
We won't get much business done this month, unless today's news is the kick start to spending some dough!

Malky delving into the transfer market would officially make this the best week in Cardiff's history :malky:

The league begins in less than 4 weeks time so ideally it would be much better to have the signings in now for pre season, giving the squad more time to gel.

Last season we played more league games than what we will this time around which gives more chance to catch teams should you get a bad start. This season we cannot afford to play catch up and need to hit the ground running - and i dont think the team that got us promotion is capable of doing that.

The sooner new players are in, the better - though they obviously have to be brought in to add quality to the squad, and not just to make up the numbers.

I'm not getting my knickers in a twist just yet, still loads of time.

However, I will be getting a little anxious if we haven't added to the squad by the end of the first week of August.

Last year we already had a good championship squad that just needed tweaking.

This year is completely different. Cant afford to be playing catch up because new signings aint up to speed.

No it's not all the players signed last year were key players in getting us promotion apart from Maynard.

Stop chatting shit.

Majority of last years regulars were players already at the club. The back 4, Marshall, Whitts and Gunnarson. Conway a regular after xmas too.

Only one on that list who hit the ground running and was axregular was Helguson.

Bellamy went loopy and missed early part of season.
Conolly had a shaky start.
Mutch, Smith, Noone and Kim didnt start half the games.

Anyone who is not concerned at this stage at our lack of signings should be. Last year we won an average Championship. This year we are talking about competing in possibly the best league in the world. The fact we have signed one player is worrying. I don't play football at the highest level but have played all my life and anyone who says its not a worry signing players before now is kidding themselves, you dont get time to settle in, in the Premier Leaguei am afraid. I really hope I am wrong but I for one am concerned. If we make a few announcements very soon we may be ok but it doesn't remove the fact that at this particular time I am more than concerned.

Apparently this year is no different to last year even though we already had the backbone of a very good championship team.

We dont have that this year at this new level.

Difference this year we signed players to make the squad better so new signings had time to setle. Kim.for example rarely featured until Feb.

This year we need to sign players who have got to vastly improve the first XI and hit the ground running.

Just 24 more days to kick off as tidays gone

This place should come with a warning not to enter if you are depressed,

even f*cking Mr.Tumble would leave here slitting his wrists and he is the happiest person I've ever set eyes on in my life.

Miserable fucks.
