Is he any better than what we've got? Granted he's versatile but he's not a better LB than Taylor, neither is he a better CM that Gunnarsson, Mutch, Whittingham or Kim. There are far better players out there!

Right, so if we can't get anyone better than Taylor, do we just forget about a back-up for the position of left-back? :?

You also claim he's no better than Gunnarsson, Mutch, Whittingham or Kim, yet none of those players have 80+ Premier League games under their name like Colback.

There's strength in numbers and, whether he's better than all four or not, the fact he was involved in a struggling team last season could help us out throughout the next.

Yeah we do forget it. You don't bring in players who aren't better than what you've already got. You don't bring in players to become back-up either (exception perhaps being GK). You bring in players who are you believe are better than the current set of players. I've seen enough of Jack Colback to say I don't rate him and don't think he'd improve the team. If he's so good then why is Di Canio willing to let him go? I know he's turned down a contract offer but given the players Sunderland have signed thus far its probably down to him knowing he ain't going to get much game time. If we're looking at Sunderland players I'd much rather us sign Craig Gardner.

The thing that gets me is Taffy123 starts this tread that JC will sign for CCFC and he is happy about it.
Yet he has also started a thread saying "Thanks VT" for another 200 members signing the BU register.

So what is it you want? VT to keep buying players and bank rolling the club on his designed ideas, Or to leave the club and let us revert to our original colours?

So what, it's Simon Lappin to the rescue whenever Taylor's injured? Because I'd much rather have a versatile and fairly experienced Premier League lad to step in, rather than someone who's hardly played in the last two seasons.

DiCanio said he was furious when the lad initially turned a new contract offer down as he's a useful player, but even if he is willing to let you go due to incoming players, it's because those incoming players are top quality.

In regards to your other point, do you really think Craig Gardner is going to get into that Sunderland team over the likes of Giaccherini, Sessegnon, N'Diaye, Johnson, Larsson, etc, when more signings are expected?

My point being we should be aiming for somebody better than Taylor, not somebody on par or inferior to play back-up.

As for Gardner he was their second top scorer last season and for some reason it appears he's not in Di Canio's plans. He's fairly versatile (played RB under O'Neill) and offers a lot more than Colback both offensively and defensively IMO.

Pathetic. Of course there are one or two in BU that want "Tan Out'' - but the GROUP maintains only
one thing - Support the Club, support Tan, but make him aware we are not happy about his lack of
respect for our heritage, history and wishes.

The supporters that have accepted Red have a few amongst them that prefer the red to blue and
see red as the Club finally ridding itself of the bad old days. Am I accusing you of supporting a ''group''
that wants Blue banished forever?? Of course not
