SURELY NOT

Thu Jul 18, 2013 1:09 pm

Weren't the ITK posters confident that Sam would not get a penny and that the forensic accountants would uncover the whole sordid affair and he would wind up in jail not back on the board. Sherlock

Perhaps he had more bargaining power than people gave him credit for, i'm sure as the experts said if Tan found any dirty washing he'd nail him.

Well it looks likely the only place he will be nailing him is onto the board of directors.

At least the doom mongers who said they would only believe it when the debt was turned to equity can now relax and enjoy the football.

Gwyn, finally this long running saga is looking like it is coming to an end.

For years we have said that Sam and Langston have been in a strong position and the nonsense that no money would be paid seems to be exactly that, nonsense.

Nothing untoward was found during the forensic accountants reports.

It might make the club stronger but now we'll have supporters more divided, it'll be:

pro red
pro blu
pro Tan
pro Sam
and the rest of the hangers on that will disappear once we get relegated
oh and maybe a few who have left will jump back in their prams now sam is back?

Good ere innit! :D

To be honest Gwyn, it was the dishonesty in which Sam did things that upset the majority especially that week then Kavanagh was sold and well we all know the history. That's why people need to respect and thank people like Steve Borley, Michael Isaac and Paul Guy did for CCFC, Its easy for anyone worth any money, to take out a hedge-fund loan with a guarantee and then simply ask the club for funds back to pay it off. Apart from the £3m he paid for the club no money used was his own, and he was always going to use it as a bargaining tool to get back into CCFC when the time was right, he will now own a sizable shareholding in CCFC and earn more money from a club he almost destroyed.

Very much like you, if a place on the board is warranted or not, to see CCFC debt free and no longer in a position of closure, im a very happy man.

I also feel re-brand apart, this will prove to a lot of doubters of Tan's that he is honest in what he does and is doing what he set out in previous club statements to make this club debt free and on a sound financial footing.

When you and your best mate were having beers and chewing the fat all those years ago did he ONCE say to you
"Gwyn I cant lie to a friend, I'm NOT spending a penny of my own money, Im getting the Club up to its
eyeballs in debt"

No. Thought not. He lied through his f*cking teeth and nearly destroyed us.

The vast majority of Cardiff City supporters finally saw through the ""oh look Sams a celebrity but calls me
friend" bollocks and saw him for what he was - a lying c**t.

Look at you now - oneupmanship against Carl "i know Sam is at Chessington, he likes me more than
he likes you"

NONE of his groupies have ever answered as to why he never told his best best buddies he was running up
a £20m+ loan against the Club. They were ALL in the same boat as the rest of us, he told them it was his
money and the ''debt would leave with him" -

As for his football knowledge? Paying average players massive wages and still failing to get us promotion
hardly puts him in the Sir Alex Ferguson bracket

The amounts aren't in question Wez, that's been well documented, don't you think they haven't tried every way possible to get the aknowleged amount lowered by any means. It was all above board and legal, or they would have been the first to tell us otherwise.

sometimes, just sometimes, it's better the devil you know!

And the issue is that as long as the club benefits, through the relief of a heavy debt, then we should all be happy - but cautious! :old:

Freudian slip there I think Gwyn lol. Surely it's Langston that's getting paid and not Sam? The snake has obviously covered his tracks well enough so that the link couldn't be categorically established, otherwise he'd be where he shoudl rightfully be - in prison for fraud/money laundering. He made an initial investment of £3m and took a business risk - and lost. But he'd covered that risk by setting up a bogus company to cover his arse and pump money in at rates determined by himself (if  he is Langston that is). Shows how devious he is really.

Call him a mate - I honestly feel sorry for the naivety of some people. He's no friend of Cardiff City I know.

I have seen this claim previously, it was common knowledge and never hidden that the loan was made to us by Citi Bank, hence the quotes people throw up about debt is good, meaning unless you can cover it, you don't get the loan.
When Citi bank called the loan in, Sam/langston covered the loaned and didn't even ask for it to be secured against club assets.

No one except for those that only read the snippets they want to thought differently, plenty of proof and coverage at all times with regard to Citi Banks involvement.

EXACTLY, some people don't want to see or recognise good news, the Langston debt dealt with Vt turning the debt to equity, isn't this what we wanted.

Re: SURELY NOT

Thu Jul 18, 2013 3:00 pm

If it gets debts converted to equity by tan i dont see how it matters if sams back, which is money in to the club rather than tan paying him off i guess, eitherway we all wanted the so called debt free club out of this if langston is gone its tans turn then to deliver :ayatollah:
