I've noticed EPL is being used more and more recently, was never called English!

English fans tend to call it the EPL because, well, it is mainly based in England, and it was until Swansea then us went and fucked it up.

The people who call it EPL are just English, but it's an unofficial name. PL or BPL are the official terms. There's no need for a name change.

EPL is what all the yanks refer to it as - its not the official name it's just a way of directing foreign audiences to the right "premier league" as there are many throughout the world.

We're part of the English football system, end of. The official terms are 'Premier League' and 'Barclays Premier League', the 'English Premier League' is just a term some fans call it as the competition is part of the English system.

We are an English, welsh based club. That is the sacrifice we made when we decided not to join the welsh league. There is already a welsh league, why should the English league change it's name because we don't want to play in our own league?
