A role for Tony Pulis?

Wed Jul 17, 2013 5:32 pm

Anyone think the club could offer a role for Tony Pulis. Assistant to Malky perhaps? Tony has plenty of experience - he's also a Cardiff fan which is an added bonus and he could offer invaluable experience to Malky. :ayatollah:

He's out of work and he did a brilliant job at keeping Stoke up to be fair. Obviously, it would be Malky's call, but personally I think if he was approached - he'd consider an offer to work at the club in some capacity!

Fair enough mate entitled to your views. I just don't think he would be an assistant to a new manager with no prem experience. If anything wouldn't it be the other way around!! Both have similar styles of football......... f**k me I'm starting to talk myself into it :laughing5:

I think Ray Wilkins would be a good addition,
Always seems to talk sence when he's on Sky.
Anyone agree?

He's just been found guilty of drink driving, he was 3 times over limit and could possibly face jail! But I know what you mean.

It wouldn't do us any harm by having someone with PL experience to help out in the background.

No it just put unnecessary pressure onto Malky.

Pulis is his own man with his own ideas of what style of football should be played. He's not going to listen to anyone, he'll get a good job in the Championship soon and I am positive he will be managing in the premier league again. He's too good to be an assistant.

Malky could however do worse than to invite Pulis to the vale for a week or so and help Malky prepare the team. Not many people know more about keeping a side in the premier league than Pulis and he'd give some invaluable advice to Malky and the coaching staff.

Plus Pulis is alot higher up the manager scale than Malky is. Pulis wont struggle to get a job

I agree with this Malky should get him in for a few weeks and pick his brains he has plenty of ideas and Malky can use what he wants. Also agree with above he will be back managing himself pretty soon anyway...

No. We already have an assistant and Pulis will probably be back in management in a few months.
