BHAFC - Club Confirms Poyet Dismissal.

Tue Jul 16, 2013 4:33 pm

Following a suspension, investigation, disciplinary meeting, and separate appeal hearing, which was conducted by three members of the club's board in London on 11th July and 12th July 2013, Brighton & Hove Albion today confirmed that after further consideration Gus Poyet's dismissal for gross misconduct has been upheld. The panel's decision was delivered to Gus Poyet and his advisers a short time ago.

The club's internal disciplinary process is now complete. In line with the club's policy to ensure and maintain confidentiality and dignity throughout this process, no further details of the disciplinary or appeal hearings will be released at this time.

Despite the extremely disappointing end to Mr Poyet's career with Brighton & Hove Albion, the club would like to acknowledge Mr Poyet's service to the club, which included leading the club to the Football League League One championship in 2011 and to its highest league finish for more than 30 years in 2013

Good manager.

Very good manager in my opinion, but we don't really know the ins and outs.

I think he's a very good manager, who should have a very promising managerial career ahead of him. I also think he's a complete halfwit with severe ego issues and won't even get close to fulfilling his potential

Think it was worse the way he was sacked.

The starting situation with Poyet, and how Brighton "got their own back" if you will, were both a shambles, and quite embarrassing in my opinion.

Bringing 30+ players into the club and wanted to break the wage structure. He's anything but a good manager.

Dont think he has. What club would employ some f*cking clown who bangs on about the reaching the ceiling? The only clubs that won't are the 4 top clubs in England and two in Spain, two in Germany and three in Italy, they wouldn't touch the bloke with a bargepole let alone any other club.

30 old players, past their sell by date. He only knows about the past and sell by date players.

Really? I and others thought it was brilliant how he was sacked. He held us in contempt all season so we just reversed the tables and made him look like a f*cking clown. Bet he's home now wishing he conducted himself in a proper manner.

Bet clubs are looking at us as the club that lead the way in future sackings without paying millions in compensation. We played it by the book and the goon is like a drunk trying to walk home after a night out.

Not a leg to stand on :malky:

Disagree,he's been at a club on the up with lots of money to spend, paid top money for some but has done very little in return. It's beyond me how he gets mentioned for all these bigger jobs when he's done nothing at Brighton really.

He is the local slag, opens their leg to anyone that pays them attention. Gus spoke with anyone, even the local gay men at dukes mound on Brighton seafront. He didn't want to be here as he said in his own words our transfer budget is shit and have hit the ceiling and can't take the club any further and we'll always be a championship club and refused to deal with the squad as said he'll not be here.

Plus the person shitting in the away dressing room ( Charlie Oatway) and they were all in on it.

Disagree. He landed on his feet and he knows it. Problem with Gus is he thought we have always been a club with 5,000 - 7,000 crowds and because we have 24,000 season tickets and get gates of 30,000 now he thinks it's down to him, how f*cking wrong the moneky look alike is. We'd have filled that ground even if the chimp wasn't here.

Any manager could of got us promoted from division one with the momentum we was gathering.

In fairness most Cardiff fans can only judge his managerial ability on 2 matches at CCS (Last season and the season before) when Brighton played Cardiff off the pitch both times.

So I have to conclude he either had the Indian sign on us or he was a very good tactical manager.

That's what I'm saying, any manager could have taken you up when you were flying at one stage,Gus didn't so kind of echos what I'm saying. He's not as good as people give him credit for. Is it because he fits into this trend of being a "young manager"maybe? Anyway who's looking likely to get the job next?

The first season Tony at yours we came out the blocks like greyhounds after the hare, just promoted and we had something to prove. This season at yours I thought we was some what fortunate to walk away with the points.

We should of been promoted last season but for Gus's tactics. He played not to lose instead of playing to win. We all have bogey teams don't we?

Well in a way he was partly responsible. Like you we were playing in front of 5k (on a good day :laughing6: ) not so long ago. Crowds went up when we reached the FA Cup Final in 2008 and moved to CCS in 2009.

But that wouldn't have been sustained without being a top championship club.

I agree your fan base has woken up and the new stadium has proved a hit, but there is another side to the argument e.g. Middlesbrough who have a brand new stadium but can't fill it because the football is shit.

Yes we do all have a bogy team I always thought ours was Ipswich although I might think its Brighton from now on

Obviously you know GP better than me, that said I thought the tactics against us last season were spot on and you deserve the win.

I did reply up the board to you Nanny. Yes, he's over hyped as he's a young manager. He's not as good as he thinks he is. He thought by getting Tony's 5ft shoes up his arse that he could walk into any prem job but what he relies now is that queue has dispersed and he it not such a wanted manager now that ego thought it would.

He is utter shite unless you give him £20 million etc.
