Good luck to them. Everyone's well aware of how much of a nightmare he can be but then again he is a good player so it could go either way for them.

I'd never want to see him in a city shirt though.

Fulham set up transfer of Adel Taarabt on a season-long loan from neighbours QPR

Playmaker will return to the Premier League with his former Tottenham boss Martin Jol if he passes Tuesday medical

Fulham manager Martin Jol has confirmed that Queens Park Rangers playmaker Adel Taarabt will have a medical tomorrow ahead of a proposed loan move across west London.

Taarabt, a fans' favourite at Loftus Road, extended his contract with the Hoops last summer amid reported interest from French champions-to-be Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the 24-year-old has had a tumultous summer at relegated QPR and now looks set to join their near-neighbours.

"We agreed everything with the club so the only thing we have to do is a medical," Jol said.

"If that is sound and good, he will join us. The medical will be tomorrow.

"I like his creativity and, of course, sometimes it comes off when he scores a lot of goals and I think he was involved in 40 goals [during the 2010-11 Championship promotion season].

"It is like Dimitar Berbatov - sometimes these fantastic talents will be blamed but I hope to find a way to gel him in together with the boys we've got.

"I think he can do a hell of a job for us because is a tremendous player on the ball."

Taarabt moved to England from French club Lens in 2007, joining a Tottenham side then managed by Jol.

"I have known him now for a long time," the Dutchman added. "When I was at Hamburg, I wanted him but thought the money Daniel Levy asked for was too much.

"Then I went to Ajax and I thought it was too much for a player that never played.

"Then I was too late after that because he went to QPR, where he did ever so well.

"Remember the fact he was a £10million player 12 months ago, so I think you have to take them when they are bad and hopefully he will show his potential here."
Ironically, Taarabt made headlines in 2011 when, during a Fulham v QPR match, he was substituted... and promptly left Craven Cottage and was spotted waiting at a bus stop rather than waiting to depart with the rest of the team.

Lazy performances are not tolerated here, Sidwell warns Fulham new boy Taarabt

Adel Taarabt has been welcomed at Fulham by Steve Sidwell’s warning that ‘lazy’ performances will not be tolerated.
The Morocco international signed a season-long loan deal at Craven Cottage after telling QPR he wanted to play in the Premier League.
But Sidwell wasted no time in making clear that the 24-year-old’s skill would have to be matched by work rate.
Taarabt was often accused at Loftus Road of concentrating solely on attack, meaning his new Fulham team-mates may need to prepare for more defensive running.
‘That’s the general joke going around the training ground at the minute,’ conceded Sidwell. ‘Listen, it’s just part and parcel of players’ make-up. You’ve got some who’ve got tremendous talent on the ball and their work rate off it isn’t great.
‘Then you’ve got some who’ve got the great work rate but not as good on the ball. You try to accommodate each others’ strengths. Everyone’s got to work for the team. It doesn’t matter who you are, you can’t be lazy, everyone’s got to put the work rate in.
