Does Di Canio know what he's doing?

Tue Jul 16, 2013 12:00 pm

Do you think Di Canio knows what he's doing? After signing a long list of players, the next signing looks like italian forward emanuele giaccherini. He has scored 4 goals in 40 apps for juve, looks abit of a dodgy signing to me

He can play attacking midfield. Maybe that's where Di Canio will play him?

Will be their best signing in years, such a good player, didn't play much as there is incredible midfield competition at Juventus. His usual position would be an attacking midfielder behind the striker, he also can play out wide.

Obviously he does not do the six month dossier rule which malky does before signing a player :malky:

I think Jozy Altidore will do well. He was poor for Hull when they were in the Prem in 08/09 but look how young he was then. I don't really know much about any other signings they've made though. Could go either way for them IMO.

I think he's 50/50, if he keeps a cool head then the new squad he's making then he can go towards a top half finish but if he loses his head it could all go to potty, he is getting value for money though, getting Giaccherini in for the same amount they paid for Bardsley..

Like I keep saying this player is very talented, wish we had him. Gets many starts for Italy, hard player to play against, such a steal for Sunderland

Not that much compared to previous seasons, spent a shit load of money on English players that just weren't worth it, aye Palace signed Campana

I would imagine that Di Canio is very aware of what he is doing as Giaccherini has been an important squad player for Juventus in their last two Scudetto winning seasons and was outstanding in last months Confederation Cup helping Italy to the Semi finals.
I only wish that Malky's scouting net spread to Italian footbal as we ourselves might have had a chance to pick up what I think is the transfer bargain of the season at £6.800000 and would have made our first season in the Premier a tad easier. He is an all action worker with excellent continental skills at this game we call football.

Sorry Malky buit you have Missed out big time with this one and by Premier League standards a wage of £38000 pw is hardly bank breaking
