How to attract players to us ?

Been reading through and chats with friends and a lot of people are saying they believe we are struggling to attract players .

Honest question what have we got that would attract the quality of player we need and how would you try and sell our club to them if you were malkey ?

I very much doubt we will go over 40k a week it would be financial suicide at the moment for us IMO
What else do we have !

Just ask yourself one question...what would attract you to playing anywhere?
It may look like the players we need are already sloshing around in money but in reality money is very hard to get.

If we want to be a more attractive club to players then our current players need to prove themselves and be an established Premier League club first, Stadium expansion and when the new state of art training ground is built for CCFC then we will be an attractive club.

Pros and cons of Cardiff if you are going to try and convince people to come here

Pros -
Premier league football
Great up and coming young manager
Hard working team full of potential
Nice city to live in with a family
A good shop window for a player trying to get himself noticed
Potential to be a big club in Britain in 5-10 years

Cons -
Lower wages than most other teams in the league
Geographically a bit out of the way compared to other clubs ( a lot of players want to play in London for some reason )
Relegation fight for at least 2 seasons if we stay up
No real chance of European qualification at the moment
No real chance of winning any silverware at the moment
Not really a big famous club in world football if we are honest
Small stadium for a top flight team until workis done to expand


Just a selection but I got to be honest for a ambitious footballer with other options it would be hard to pick cardiff over the likes of say everton and Newcastle
not trying to be down on the club just find it interesting , even when the training ground and stadium is complete we need to be top ten to attract the players to push onto the next level , but you can't get the players to get you there in the first place without everything there now
Must be a difficult job to be fair
