What's the best to use? Only know of Photoshop but is it worth the money?

GIMP is exactly the same as photoshop but free

If you're serious about it adobe illustratior is one of the best, but gimp is free. You could just figure out a way of getting adobe software free of course

You could 'rent' it at £17.58 a month, apart from that I dont know, I think it might be part of the creative suite.
