DONT NEED TO SPEND ON A LB??

Declan John. a product of the Academy. Has bagfulls of ability and wont cost much in wages. Saw him play at macclesfield at left back, and he done ok. got to get experience some day. why not put him in the 1st team.

He's quality but we need some experience

I'd rather we signed a proven left back. Its too early to throw him in, especially considering the task we have of staying up.

Definetyl a hot prospect but should be nowhere near a premiership first team at this stage of his career

He's still learning the defensive side of his game. He's a left winger converted to a left back and his lack of positional sense defensively shows, but this is something he is learning and will get better at. I think he will become a Premiership and Wales international left back in the future, he has a brilliant engine getting up and down the flank, overlapping and delivering quality crosses. As soon as he learns the defensive side of his game and becomes as good defensively as he is going forward, he will be a fantastic player.

I think he should be loaned out to a League 1 team to play regular competitive games, as that will be a much better experience for him to improve the defensive side of his game than development games. If he does well at a League 1 club, he can then progress to be loaned to a Championship team.

Worked with Swansea and Ben Davies, not all players need to be loaned out to gain experience, sometimes it just works. Although I've never seen John play

Could be Like Luke Shaw

Really don't believe this as a lot of youngsters have thrived at the chance.

Luke Shaw is a prime example so don't see why young players like John couldn't maybe be worth a shot.

A family friend was in a relationship with the lad earlier on in the year, and I haven't met him myself but the girl was telling my old man that he is supposed to be signing for celtic this summer, how true this is I really don't know but I hope he doesn't go as he seems like a good young prospect

No doubt John has great potential. Could maybe t=do with a season of first team action out on loan maybe. I wouldn't want to play him in the prem this year.
