Will Prem Prices Put People Off ?

Sun Jul 14, 2013 12:45 pm

Do you think the £42 West Ham are charging will put people off going to our first game in the Premier League ?

Very steep but I'll be there. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Well let's look at this logically, every away game is basically £100 before a drink or food. So that's a £200 day out which to be honest, bearing in mind all city games are live around the city pubs now, mmmm me thinks me will be staying in Cardiff!

And no I won't be going to MC, MU, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool etc, been there and done all that - for a quarter of the price!

Away travel is a rich mans toy these days!

It's not the prices of tickets that'll put me of going to games when we make it but players wages. f*cking joke.

Prices at SOME grounds will literally 'take the piss' but the 'regulars' will still go regardless and I admire them for that :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

As for everyone else? I'm sure they will 'select' their away games carefully (as some will do at home ;) ;) ) and still bleat when they can't get to the 'bigger' grounds, such as Old Trafford, The Etihad, White Hart Lane and The Emirates

I just hope the club ensure the 'regulars' are looked after for the glamour games via some data base :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I think the novelty of prem football will start to wear off with prices, the first season we may do ok, but apart from the top 5 in the prem away games - what happens if we are in the bottom 3 - who is going to pay 45 quid ish for hull away?

I am 17 and will be happy to pay as much as up to 30-35 pound.

Afternoon, drinking normally starts at 6am for many games away, and we don;t normally get back much before midnight - with a stop over. Ok add taxis' into that

Right about the fat fecker though

West Ham will cost you £42 if you go, which I think is disgusting for a 17 year old!

I will pay up to about £70 for a ticket, for a youngster with not much money some of these aways will be a stretch on the finances

I think so, especially when you add travel & beer money.

I'm hoping to do a few aways, but I don't think I'll be able to justify doing as many as i'd hoped.

There's no doubt some fans are going to struggle to find the cash to watch the city in the premier league. :ayatollah:

Exactly. Disgusting.

Cost overall would be £80 for me.

I am being fair by putting a certain price out I will pay.

from a financial point of view i could do a fair few away games this season but as brighton and hove albion has stated it's a bit obscene what the players are earning these days .

that's my standpoint

Yes the players are payed very well but with the amount of tv money in football they should be,after all they are the stars of the show with relatively short career's.The blame lies with the clubs in some instances for spending beyond their means to achieve success but as we've seen it doesn't always work out that way. :ayatollah:
