if you shelled out £8m for Cornelius, £8m was thought to be going to Ince. meaning you only had £9m left and hadn't touched upon defenders meaning you couldn't pay up front. simple really. if ince rejected earlier then you could have paid in the form they wanted.

Cornelius has played one season and that was in the Danish league. Campbell has failed at every premier league club, think he has 8 goals in 90 prem appearances. Maynard had to drop down to the championship just like Campbell to get a game.
