Transfers - Cause For Concern?

I still believe that there is time to strengthen the squad prior to the start of the season but it seems many clubs have done their business early particularly those that could be considered as potentially 'bottom half' teams. We seem to be well behind. Of the bottom half teams only Newcastle have made 1 signing. The others on 1 include us, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs. You could say that all of these teams have stronger squads than us !

To date there have been 67 transfers and we have 1.

Of the potential bottom half teams the following deals have been completed:

Sunderland 8
Villa 6
Norwich & Hull 5
West Ham & Fulham 4
Palace 3
Southampton, Stoke & West Brom 2

Both Hull and Palace have taken a step ahead of us even though they were promoted at a later time. I think that we need to step up our search for players but I hope that we bring in quality in the right areas rather than buying less gifted players. It would be nice to see 1 or 2 signings in the next week or so in order for them to gel with the team.

We still have 8 plates spinning according to MM. It is better to get the right players at the right price rather than the wrong players at the wrong price even if that means waiting until 31 August, in other words act in haste repent in leisure.

I have confidence in the players we already have IMO MM is simply looking to add the cream that pushes us further up the PL league table.

Always remember it's quality over quantity. Teams panic buy and just buy players to appease their fans and keep quite.

We haven't signed anyone yet but have lost 6 first team players. Lost Bridge, Painter L/B's. Vicente, Hammond, Dicker and Spanish Dave, M/F.

Not to sure what the hell is going on at the moment but rather we bought quality than numbers.
