Shaun Maloney (PLAN B)

Fri Jul 12, 2013 9:45 pm

he played out of his skin for Wigan, his work ethic was clear to see and i'm sure Malky would of spotted it. i think he would be a brilliant signing. he isn't worth more than £4 million in my OPINION because he is already a developed player. These are the stats for the end of the last season:

App / Goals / Assists

56 10 13 That is throughout the whole of last season in all competitions.

However Tom Ince in last season recorded these stats:

45 18 14

I believe that Maloney would be less of a gamble as he is experienced and established at Premier League level, Tom Ince is still a raw talent but I don't think right now he is ready for another 2 years.

This would be a player I would love MM to get :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Malky is a clear admirer of Maloney when watching Wigan vs Jacks when he was a pundit, please Malky try a sneaky bid. He'd be great

I think you're spot on with your asssessment of Maloney.
Maloney has proved his worth in the Premier League with Wigan and I'm surprised no other side has come in for him yet.

Would love to see Maloney here, but I'd like to know Wigan's evaluation of the player.

He's now 30, but had an excellent season in the Premier League. Would £1m-£2m be enough?

After all, they only picked him up from Celtic for £850,000.
