He knew his baby was due in July (pre season and a possible move) months ago. If he didn't want to move for family reasons then why talk to us at all?
I reckon he has bottled it and his dad has given him a nice get out route. any other managero f Blackpool would have said 'you're off kid, the club needs the money'.
remember Tom Ince was part of that under 21 team that bottled it big time in the euros last month.
i think it may have been a lucky escape. Premier League unproven, expensive and a bit flakey.

You can't deny that it was a huge decision to make for him. He chose to put his family first, good on him.

I think he had no intention of signing, seems obvious that he used our interest to stimulate a northwest club into action. taht is probably why his father phoned and not Tom,(too embarrassed)

if he put his family first, then why didn't he rule out a move this summer at all? why drag it on for so long. weeks and weeks then all of a sudden he is stayign for his family. cardiff isn't exactly a hell hole to bring up a family.
No something else going on here. He has bottled the risk of comign to us as a first teamer.

and his dad seemed to be holding his hand throughout all this. Tom didn't seem to want to make a grown up decision either way.

Maybe it hit him hard when his baby was born, maybe realisation kicked in that he couldn't be working and living away in Cardiff all the time as he wouldn't see his baby that often.
If he definitely didn't want to come here then he wouldn't have come down here on Monday for talks.
He's still young, he will have plenty of other opportunities.

Imagine if he wore a condom. Been holding the shirt up weeks ago.

He didn't like what he saw down here so turned us down 'nicely' using a convenient excuse.

I highly doubt that, he plays for Blackpool, anything's better than that

Some would say raising your salary from £250,000 to £1,750,000 a year WAS putting his family first. It's Cardiff not Dubai. He could be home in a few hours.

Yep stupid money even in the lower leagues, but if I was a WAG with a baby I think I'd survive my hubby being away if he was depositing an extra £30,000 EVERY week on my coffee table. But hey money isn't everything even if each week it does equate to more than some people earn in a year.

They used us to try and force Liverpool's hand. Paul Ince still lives near Liverpool so Tom could have moved down near him. Also it's not far from Toms girlfriends family in Blackpool. Liverpool would have been the perfect move for them but they couldn't pull it off.

Not really upset -- unsure about his attitude anyway and he would have been a massive Risk at 80 million.
Would be karma if he has a poor year at Blackpool and goes off the radar , then no one coem sin next summer over 1 million so he stays at Shitty Blackpool. AS you said --cant have been a surprise about his baby --most bloks would have said no deal straight away --What hes done is get his name in the papers interweb and on SSN for the last month free of charge.. Soem sly Agent at work I reckon.
