Ince affair embrassing

Fri Jul 12, 2013 2:26 pm

The Thomas Ince affair has been a embarrassment for the club, to be messed around by a unproven player although with huge potential when no other club came in for him means Malky clearly needs to look at his recruitment policy of chasing players who are not committed. I hope Malky moves on from this quickly to restore some pride in the club

Biggest mistake here was when he asked for more time. We should have walked away then.

I agree to a certain extent he has just had a baby with his partner and the enormity has hit home. That said he is a big f**king wimp because he couldn't even talk to MM down the phone to inform him after all the understanding shown by our God like manager.

I think we have to accept this was an exceptional circumstance and just move on.

I don't want to be 'that guy', but...

I think the whole rebrand situation was a tad more embarrassing for the club and the fans.

look we move on now ,but i do think even before he came down he wasnt interested ,like others have said on here if he really wanted to come etc he wouldve given a quicker answer,in that case he has wasted our time ,as he didnt really have any intention,it could even bite him on the arse he could get injured in the championship and be out for a while so its his gamble ,i would imagine hes gonna sort something out in jan so he can move for free in the summer ..malky needs to get moving with some other players now and not just anyone to make numbers up

Complete crap from the Ince pair in all honestly.

Two months ago, Paul said Tom would only move for the right club. Everything agreed and he said no citing his newborn child. Tom knew what position he was going to be in come the summer with a child on the way.

Alot of people have said this and i agree, that he's holding out for a bigger club. He hasn't proved much to earn a transfer to a top 6 team and all i can say is opportunity missed from him. Pure idiocy.

Some people seem to think he found out about this child this week and that's when it came into his planning :laughing6: :laughing6:

That's what i'm laughing about! He doesn't give a shit about keeping his family together in Blackpool. He's just interested in a lucrative transfer and we're not that transfer.

Of course he iss after cash but there are other things;

I have had no doubt in my mind that he wants to go to a mersyside/lancashire club but also wants first team football.
misses/friends/home etc
Preferable Liverpool but EFC would do.

Its a shame that if anyone writes this they are seen as cry babies??????

At the end of the day - the boy has no affinity to us and in fairness he did come down to try have a look and
change his mind.

I think MM has not come out a total mug on this albiet sky suggested all along that he wouldnt come.
Most people could smell he wasnt coming weeks ago (but hoped they were wrong!) :ayatollah:

Simple really Tony the guy was not interested.

Forget the newborn excuse because that is all it is. He could have quite easily relocated with his family if he was interested in us.

I,m not suggesting Malky has come out of this looking a mug' but if a promising player can f**k us about what will a experienced pro and his agent do to us

Malkys a class act,i can remember last season him going over and applauding watford fans after theyd abused him all match
Hes done the decent thing with tom ince but had it thrown back in his face
Ince senior thinks hes more important than anyone at blackpool, bet the board are fuming that Tom hasnt got a backbone and theyve lost out on a huge fee with the player only hving 12 months left on his contract

This ^^^^ Personally I don't think this was a Tom Ince decision. It's probably pressure from his partner and her parents not to move away, having just had a child.

I hope Ince now shatters both legs in a terrible injury caused by Blackpools pitch

Sorry mate but that comment needs deleting by the mods.
How can you be a supporter of the game and wish injury on a player because be doesn't sign for us.

I hope he stays fit and healthy and enjoys the rest of his career playing Championship football on a shit sandy pitch.
If his form drops in let's face it is a bloody tricky league this year (of which the Seasiders won't be in contention) then no Premier club will risk decent money on him.
In short... Let him and his dad rot. Happily though.
