A forum for all things Cardiff City

Tom Ince has delivered a huge blow to Cardiff City's Premier League plans after turning down an £8m move to the Bluebirds.
Ince had kept Cardiff boss Malky Mackay waiting all week after initially travelling to the Welsh capital for talks on Monday.
Personal terms were swiftly agreed but Ince returned to Blackpool to consider his future in the week his first child was born.
And he has now delivered the news Cardiff fans were fearing after opting to stick with the Championship side managed by his father Paul.
It is understood the player was impressed with the Bluebirds' set-up after being shown around Cardiff City Stadium and the club's Vale training HQ but family commitments mean he has decided against a move.
Ince's former club Liverpool did show some interest earlier this summer but it remains to be seen if that is now rekindled following the collapse of his proposed move to Wales.

Relieved to be honest,we cant afford to have a player who is not 100% commited to the club
Fri Jul 12, 2013 1:43 pm
Time to move on, plenty of other players out there

The lad didn't think it was the right move for him,it happens in football,if he wants to put all his eggs in one basket and hope for a "bigger" move then that's his choice.
We offered him the chance to showcase his talents in the biggest league in the world ,if his move to a bigger club doesn't come off and he has to play championship football then he has to live with it. On to the next one Malky.

Time to move on... If he wasn't committed then he would be no use... We need players like Cornelius who are pumped up and ready to play for the shirt...

Fri Jul 12, 2013 1:56 pm

shocking. I hope that was a joke.
We don't need players with an attitude like that, such unprofessionalism bigged up basically because of his Dad was a well known player. It's his loss. So much for being "impressed" at CCS.

The lad has the right to decide his destiny and from here on it won't be with us. Sort of makes me feel better thinking I wasn't one of those brown-nosing him last night over the birth of his first child.

If Paul Ince was a good dad he would of told him to wear a condom.
Fri Jul 12, 2013 2:11 pm
Rather this then have him join, think its a mistake and take the mic and play half arsed. He took a few days to decide and has said no, cant really give him shit for that regardless of his motives. Got a feel his dad was behind this decision...

No surprise at all. His loss but good luck to him and his new family

This.
His old man is his current manager ffs and he know Blackpool without TI is a lot poorer.Paul Ince is just looking after the club he manages and he's lucky his son is their starman.

The fact he never had the decency to phone Malky himself fills me with joy. It means the lad is lacking in respect
and also lacking a pair of bollocks - worse - his old man condones his behaviour. No thanks. Do not want a lad who
does not stand up for himself. I would have dragged a kid of mine to the phone

f*cking good,don't need c*nts like him.thinking he's too good for our club.

simples.
