The new boys......Cardiff City Football Club
I'd class myself as a true bluebird, and after living in Cardiff for 13 years, being a mascot four times, and a ballboy thanks to kit manager then Harry Parsons for 6 seasons before I moved away, I never thought I'd see the day my beloved Cardiff City would be in the best league in the world, which back on April 16th became a reality.
I know we all have our memories and I know there are thousands more fans that attend more games than me but whether I get to three home games a season, and about 8 aways which has been realistically what I've been able to achieve in the last 27 years since moving away, I still love the club as much as I did on the first day my dad took me to NP.
Like thousands of us I am so proud to be supporting a team from where I was born and brought up and not following a team cos they are famous.
I love the fact through thick and thin many Cardiff fans have kept the faith, believed, and shouted at the top of their voices on the terraces of many different places.
I remember travelling up to Lincoln to watch the City win 1-0 with a Tarki Micaleff penalty and getting home late that night back to South East London and a few mates were like "why the f**k do u bother", those comments I've never forgotten but the answer was always the same...." cos they are my f*cking team"
Love this f*cking club as much as the rest of you, and seeing them in the Premier League next season will tick a lot of boxes for a lot of fans but for me....it will be an an amazing season of pride, passion and a different belief now that maybe just maybe Cardiff City Football Club can become a Premier League team for a very long time to come.
Sorry to go on but had a few beers and wanted to share my thoughts......
