Malky will work to it and strengthen how he wants. I think it is :ayatollah:

No one outside the club knows for definite what transfer funds are available. That was a figure quoted straight after we gained promotion. Is that for the entire season? or for pre season and then another budget for January? I suppose only the owner/board know what realistic funds are going to be made available. I suppose a lot will depend on what targets MM finds, their purchase fee, and what potential sale fee could be reached in the future. It's all speculation.

With the bids made so far it appears as though there may be a bit more than that available.

Yes your right owned by a Billionaire, but rem Tan is still only lending us the money at 7% interest, I am still very wary of our huge debt and we need Tan first to turn this debt in to equity/shares and then make us Debt Free.

Very interesting question though.

Id love to see some great names to come to city, but i dunno if 17 million is enough to spend on atleast 3 more players. We lost out on Wanyama and i think he would have been a great playmaker for the team.

Tan wants to make a tidy profit. He has to spend money now, to accumulate In the future, we are a project to line his pockets,

Wait... Does that sound like a pitch for dragons den!? Imagine Borley and Malky pitching that one to Peter Jones et al!

Not doing much different than what Sam did with loans and Al Fayad (spl) at Fulham.. Even the Glaziers owe millions at man utd and many others..
Annis how many clubs can you name in the football league that are debt free? excluding the ones who took the easy way out and went into Admin and shit on local busineses :D

Jinks, there are not many clubs debt free, I agree with you on that but we're £110 Mill in debt approx and Tan has been here a few years now, debt has risen vastly and one of the main reasons some accepted the Rebrand was a debt free club, honestly not a pick at Tan, just the truth.

^ Spot on Annis

People have short memories at this club. We've all bent over for Tan on the promise of 'debt to equity' and worn his red shirts to great embarrassment and ridicule.

It's ok being a billionaire, but a billionaire with deep pockets and short arms isn't what we need right now.

tan knows what he needs to spend? and what hes going to sell for, all done in advance. its not day to day living with tan

Re: Owned by a billionaire!

He is not going to do anything about debt to equity until Hammam is out of the way. That's taking some time longer because of Hammam's stubbornness. The loan notes are unsecured, everyone seems to forget that. There is no legally binding enforcement behind them. Tan can effectively starve Hammam into a deal if he so chooses and there is nothing that Sam can do about it. Nothing at all. Either Hammam deals on Tans terms or Hammam (and us) have to wait.

The way i read this in a purely business sense is: Debt to equity OR loans. Either way Tan has Cardiff City by the
short and curlys. Also he never ONCE promised to turn debt to equity, it was an option he was looking into, one
of a few i'd imagine. Serious now. £100m loan or Tan OWNING £100m worth of Cardiff City? if he decides to up
and leave we're fucked either way. I think this is suddenly being brought up again by a ''new poster'' out of the blue :?
....is because of the tenuous link between Sam Hammam/Langstone and debt to equity. There was NEVER a promise
to turn debt to equity once Hammam gets his blood money. Funny how here we go again cos it looks like Tan is
f*cking him about again. Or am i just a cynic?

^ now I can see why its been made a sticky, just another chance to have a swipe and create a negative view of Tan. Is this because of the hiding Sam and Carl took last week and just a chance to create doubt in VT for future gain.

I like the way Tan is moving Cardiff City forward to the next level .. ( rebrand aside )

£7m on Cornelius, £8m bid for Ince, £10m bid for Wynama... Right now
Tan has no problem pumping the money in if its moving Cardiff City forward. He hasnt paid off the
Lebanese bloke because the Lebanese bloke wont accept what he's offered and for whatever reason,
Tan obviously feels in a strong enough position to play hardball. Debt to equity will happen once
Hammam is gone but there's no rush. In the true scheme of things its purely a cosmetic exercise.
Whether its £100m in loans or £100m in equity - its Vincent Tans money, if he suddenly wanted it
back he could wind the Club up with the click of a finger. Debt to equity just makes the balance
sheet look better. I'd prefer that, so would all of us. Right now i think its best we just enjoy the ride.
Forget Hammam, the worst case scenario for him is that he's kept hanging on til 2016. But by then
either Tan will be gone already (and we'll have gone bust  ) or Tan will still be here and Cardiff
City will be a bit of a 'force' in the Premiership or Tan will be gone and ditto with different 'owners'
Langstone was like a noose around our necks once - now its pretty insignificant except to one person
and never forget that person would have seen Cardiff City go bust. So f**k him!
