Bit of a size mismatch there pal!!! Vaughan is good but not a defensive player, far to small.

Aw, didums, nobody wants to join you

I'm glad to see we stuck to a budget on this one. Our friends down west would be proud, they always talked about prudence and how we had overspent in the past.

Are we assuming Southampton upped the personal terms package then or did Wanyama want to leave Celtic that much he settled for a lesser wage.

No no one wants to join us, just presented our record signing to the media even though when we had a bid accepted, clubs still tried to make a bid but Cornelius and his agent were having none of it and joined us.

And he did want to join us, he wanted to come here for talks, we were being firm and didn't pay what we thought he was worth.

This was looking very good. We agreed a fee in principle with Celtic which included a few instalments in the first year. Southampton offered a larger down payment then Celtic reneged on us with extra demands. This was why we pulled out. Wanyama has signed for Southampton on a lower salary than what Cardiff City offered. Celtic have engineered the move - not Wanyama. It's a blow but now we're competing for this class of player then we'll have to expect the occasional knock back. We'll move on, as usual

Tony, whilst I am gutted as he is a class lad and will only get better, in the space of 24 months his value has gone from 900k to £12.5m (only playing SPL and Occasional Champs Lge) many Tic Fans I've spoken to are over the moon that they have got that amount for him.
I want him but I am glad Malky was strong in his beliefs.
Interestingly though the fans who have slated him have all said the same about Ledley.

"With his work ethic he will become a captain and eventual legend at the club".

We live to fight another day with £10million in our pocket. You can get one hell of a lot of player for that.

Blessing in disguise hopefully. We set our sights at the top end of the scale with this one, but even though we just missed out this time it'll bode well for the future. This time last year we only had one signing in same as this. I'm sure Malkys list is large enough that he's plenty of quality surprises in store by August

As much as I hate agreeing with A Swansea fan, NJ is right, bugger off and go get your picture taken with Mickey Mouse.

No, seriously I want to see a picture of you with Mickey Mouse. :D
