Loan Signings

Thu Jul 11, 2013 1:05 pm

Both Barnett and Lappin were brought in on loan as emergency cover when Hudson and Taylor were out, whilst Kiss and Vuckic were the only two signed to actually boost the squad's depth/quality.

So it seems Malky isn't ridiculously keen on the idea of loan signings but, if push comes to shove, he'll surely have to bolster squad numbers (especially in defence) with a few temporary faces.

I would think the likes of Andre Wisdom, Martin Kelly, John Stones, Jake Livermore, Kerim Frei, Gael Kakuta and John Guidetti would be willing to listen to loan offers providing first team football, and each would add further quality to the current City squad.

Yes, permanent signings will provide a little more stability, but the current depth of squad - in my opinion - is in no state to deal with a relegation battle.

Well aware that Malky may be struggling bringing quality in permanently, but there will be plenty willing to prove themselves elsewhere.

Tell me about it.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, a move for Guidetti could work out just as well as West Brom's did for Lukaku.
