my feelings on Ince

Thu Jul 11, 2013 12:20 pm

This is not an ITK comment on Ince but a personal feeling upon reading between the lines. I think Ince will stay with Blackpool and come January will sign a pre contract agreement with Liverpool with a view to moving there in the summer. Reasons for this - his contract will be up next summer and he won't cost Liverpool a penny. Why should they fork out millions for him now when they can get him for nowt next year and don't forget they sold him for £350,000 to Blackpool a couple of years ago so they wouldn't be too happy forking out millions to get him back now. Paul Ince will be happy to keep him for one more year, the only unhappy man will be Oyston the Blackpool chairman. So time for us to move on and leave the politics at Blackpool to Blackpool. I believe there are other targets there for us plenty of time yet. On another note Cornelius was unveiled with his Cardiff City shirt today I believe him and Ince were supposed to be unveiled together so not a good sign. So time for us to move on and leave the politics and infighting to Blackpool. I believe there are other targets there for us plenty of time yet. :ayatollah:

I'd just send a Ince temptation bid in for Matt Phillips (£2m) see how they react, if they don't want to play, move on.

I want him here but I just feel he'll stay at Blackpool for the time being either to see if any clubs will take interest in him when/if he turns us down. So they know we'll be out of the running. I don't think Liverpool are interested in him anymore I genuinely believe that, I think they could get him relatively cheap yes but I think there's limitations on a player and he's just not up to where they want to be right now, Rodgers is bringing in some great talent and I just don't see him there.

Withdraw offer now.
Over priced anyway.
Then on final day of transfer window offer them £4 million. They will have to sell as they need the money it seems.
Cardiff: If Malky still wants him will save a lot of money.
Blackpool: If he is not sold then he can leave for nothing and Blackpool will get nothing for him.

Why would they accept a bid of £4 million after receiving a bid of £8 million just one month earlier ?

It isnt because of Blackpool this is stalling its because of the player.

Decision tomorrow morning, Blackpool are not going to let him go on a free and Malkay has been told by Brendon Rodgers that they are not interested in signing Ince

Exactly, Blackpool have been brilliant with all this, they need the money and are waiting for Ince to make his mind up, it's holding back their progress as a club as they need the money to strengthen their team for the season ahead.

Because on deadline day they will have to accept what they can get. He can leave for free after January as he is out of contract. It will be £4 million (less the scousers cut) or nothing.

A players valuation doesnt decrease by £4 million in a month. If Blackpool were willing to accept £4 million they would accept a bid of that now so they have time to re invest that money in their squad.

How would that change anything if Ince doesn't want to come here? :?

That's it. If he does decide to leave he will have no choice and they will be desperate to get rid of him.
It will put all the pressure on them and we can negotiate on our grounds.I hope we do not get him.
