Liverpool told Ince wait till Jan

Thu Jul 11, 2013 9:37 am

Liverpool are not prepared to fork out 8mil on ince but are keeping their eye on his move

However reports are that liverpool have approached manager paul ince to advise his son to hold out till january

The reason being tom ince contract ends next year. Therefore if blackpool would have to sell him cheap in january.

Now its a debate for tom does he stay in the championship for half a year or come to a premiership club straight off.

This is what's taking time and you can't blame him for taking his time.

All will be reavled tomorrow let's hope he sees sense and signs for us :ayatollah:

He won't be that cheap either way as it'll end up at a tribunal even if they don't sell him now or January and they'll be able to point to our interest as a sign of his value.

Re: Liverpool told Ince wait till Jan

Thu Jul 11, 2013 9:49 am

Why on earth would Liverpool talk them into making them less money from the sell on clause?

This is not strictly true, if a club bid 8mil and ince did not want to go to that club he would reject personal terms, a club offer can be accepted but its up to the player

Let's say liverpool bid 4mil and ince rejected an other club at 8mil , if you was blackpool at the end of jan would you accept 4mil or leave him on a free at the end of the season?

I honestly believe he will be a city player if he sees the prospects of the club and what malky has told him

Liverpool have been clever , this is toms old man they spoke to , what would your priority be job or your sons future which has superstar potential , its family

They can't speak to the player , but now its obvious toms sat down with his old man and its all come up

Liverpool pay less its better for them obviously its 30 percent so what ever they pay they get 30 percent back

This is so funny.

Why would Paul Ince talk himself out of funds for a club he manages?

Firstly he would be instantly sacked for not getting the best deal for his club and secondly he'd reduce his own budget thereby affecting his ability to compete.

I call bollocks on this one.

I think your talking absolute bollocks.8 mill is a huge amount of money and if Blackpool thought for one minute they were being diddled by Ince Snr they would sack him and whats more he would not get another job in the english game again.

I totally disagree. Do you honestly think Blackpool will allow Ince Snr to dictate whether or not Tom Ince makes a move to CCFC that will generate £8m pounds or wait until January so Liverpool sign him on the cheap 5 months later.

I think Ince will join us, if he don't, personally I think he is a fool. If he does wait for Liverpool in January he wont be a first team starter and he will once again leave Liverpool with his career in turmoil. There are similar players to Ince and without top flight or regular first team football, players like Zaha, Walcott Sterling will be ahread of him for England.

His best option as anyone will say will be to join CCFC, he will be a key player which will help his career as well as possible full England recognition.

He would be a fool to turn us down.

People actually believe this bullocks? it flies in the face of all principles regarding value at end contract! Which club in right mind would deliberately let contract run out when been offered good money just so that he can be bought on the cheap by another? :laughing5:

Re: Liverpool told Ince wait till Jan

Thu Jul 11, 2013 10:42 am

So Liverpool who stand to make money from this sale are telling Ince snr to delay transfer because they might want him on the cheap in January :?:

Re: Liverpool told Ince wait till Jan

Thu Jul 11, 2013 10:54 am

In Jan he can sign a pre contarct for free with anyone including Liverpool. It is only because his dad is there that he is having any choice to make, any other club and manager would be trying to force him out with 8m on the table especially club size of Blackpool who I can see struggling this season could set them back years losing out on 5m.

Re: Liverpool told Ince wait till Jan

Thu Jul 11, 2013 11:09 am

Malky and Brendan get on really well. I've no doubt that Malky has already sounded him out about any potential interest.

Re: Liverpool told Ince wait till Jan

Thu Jul 11, 2013 11:11 am

Don't think your getting it

The player makes the decision not the manager , paul wants the best for his son more than blackpool

He wouldn't get the sack because tom can turn us down then move to liverpool in january how's that his old mans fault? Its the players decisions his old man is advising him not making the decision

Its a matter of liverpool saying we will bid in jan so hold off and ul be a liverpool player in jan , liverpool knowning they can bid less , they aint told blackpool that obviously how stupid can you get if you think that, that just liverpool tactics to get cheaper

Well done mate like I said should ince decline us its the players choice brentford could bid 15mil ince could reject because liverpool want him for example its up to the player not the club

Paul should know better, a top pros life span is very short. Injuries can strike at any moment. And Paul has said himself that the most important thing is for Tom to be playing football.

I look forward to seeing Tom playing for us in the prem. :ayatollah:

"reports are"

"Dont take £8m from Cardiff, we will shell out £4m in January, ;) Keep this under your hat Paul because
it could be construed as fraud and mean you are acting against your employers. Only one or two people at
Liverpool know about this conversation. Oh and 'Cardiff City Blue', but he wont say anything

Re: Liverpool told Ince wait till Jan

Hey Tom, stay with Blackpool for 6 months, risk potential injury and potential investors. Also Tom risk ruining any slight chances of making the England squad by staying in the Championship for six months instead of getting onto the task with all guns blazing. Hey Tom, we'll also buy you for cheaper despite having the chance to buy you for 4m nom we can buy you for 4m again in January. We're also interested in top European talent as well but don't worry we'll make a bid for you in January, even if we're somehow near the Champions League spots, we'll still make a bid for you, you won't get first team football though.

STUPIDEST LOGIC EVER

Of course liverpool won't tell blackpool

Liverpool are clever they know if ince waits till january he wants to go there so they will offer little knowing contract is up soon , therefore ince will reject other clubs till liverpools bid is accepted if rejected blackpool will have to make him sign a contract .

This is what liverpool are hoping

I do believe the scouse got it wrong and are messing with his head ince should be a bluebird soon :ayatollah:

Why would Blackpool be looking for £8m from Liverpool, anyway?

They want £8m from City as Liverpool get 35% of the fee. Surely that means they would only be looking for a fee around £5.5m with a direct bid from Brenda?
