KIDS IN RED TOPS

Thu Jul 11, 2013 9:07 am

I went to my daughers sports day yesterday and in the red house there was a kid with a red Cardiff top on. Strange to see. On the one hand I was thinking thats not our colours you little twerp, on the other hand, hes a kid, doesnt know no different, and better for him to be in a Cardiff top, albeit red, than a Man U or Liverpool top!!!

Sadly some of the kids in the blue house were in Chelsea tops and no Cardiff

I've been asked at least 5 times by friends of my parents who I have never met, to get tickets for the Liverpool and Man United home games. Mainly so their kids can go to see their favourite team. I don't see it as the kids fault, they just follow their Dads favourite team usually. I'd rather they wear a red top and support Cardiff over wearing a red scouse top. I won't get the tickets anyway as they can look it up for themselves.

Kids will always want the latest kit whatever colour it is. What I can't stand is, adults wearing red cardiff tops!

My grandson wanted the Red shirt last season, and I bought it for him, because he said he wanted to wear the same colours as the team he was supporting. I couldn't argue with his logic but in fairness to him he understands my views on the colour change and supported me when I politely declined the "Freebie" red scarf.

A few years ago Owen was the only member of his football team who wore a Cardiff shirt to training but now at least half the boys wear Cardiff shirts, red sadly, but as you say they are kids and they wear the shirt with pride. Sadly there are still boys who wear Barcelona, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd shirts but I think it's great to see the increase in boys wearing Cardiff City shirts.

The next generation of fans and nothing wrong with it in my opinion just different to what :old: like me are use to.

exactly leave it to the next generation of fans, us oldies have had our fun, at least the youngsters have the opportunity of premier football more than we had, MOVE ON

This is a prime example of why Tan doesnt care if some fans dont like the red and want blue back, the future generations are going to grow up with the red. so will their kids etc.

Hear Hear, Mr.Castle.

Although up here in Merthyr may take a generation or two for City to overtake Liverpool. The amount of Liverpool full kit / tracksuit wankers up here is quite unbelievable.

Future Generations, won't grow up with Red, When Tan's gone, Red will be gone!!, And those kids and us will remember thoses few years we were Red.

If seats change at the ground to Red and Tan stays 10/15 years, however could lose blue forever

As you can tell like others I don't like It, but has long as we are Cardiff City and name stays the same ill be there :ayatollah:

It will take more than 1 season in prem and a then another cup final to get fans into our kits.

kids most times support teams their dads did.
Unfortunately in s wales there are far too many tv wanker football fans who followed bob paisley and dave sexton etc when We and the jacks yo yo'd the depths.

I cant stand these fans - no moral fibre -
most of these kids will not get the opportunity to visit CCS or liberty as walk up costs to high.

KIDS IN RED TOPS....... should be sent to a home

Re: KIDS IN RED TOPS

Better to see them in a red top supporting their local club, than in a blue Chelsea top tbh.
Can't blame the kids, but at least the new fans are switching to premiership locality. :ayatollah:

Would you rather see adults wearing Manc, Scouse, Arse etc or wearing Red city tops?
