are we moving quick enough in the transfer market

Wed Jul 10, 2013 6:46 pm

I'm starting to feel that city are lacking a real football man above malky in trying to secure the major signing we need to progress in the premier league....city were in prime position to get there signing in early by winning the championship with games to spare...so many knock backs to date if we believe the press ....am I right to be concerned..???? Views please ..

It is now Wednesday evening and we seem to be getting further away from our signings than we were this time last week. Clubs around us that we could probably end up in a scrap with are purchasing with some decent signings, has Malky's stance with Wanyama proven to be wrong over 500k or so more in the offer?

I am not yet worrying but will be soon, as for Ince, the kid obviously would like to go elsewhere so if he is not convINCEd with Cardiff then why pursue the interest and start looking elsewhere. He has had enough time!

As long as it's not a certain Lebanese shyster I'd be tempted to agree. Then again, the recruitment team that Malky has assembled hasn't let us down so far.

To be honest I was hoping we would of signed at least 3 signings by now.

Have to agree I'm getting a bit twitchy!! The fact the teams around us are strengthening and we've made one signing!

Think we may have targeted high profile players and slightly above what is realistic for our club. we need to lower our expectations and target realistic signings!!

There have been a few more deals completed today. Not counting those and as of yesterday there had been 59 transfers within the premier since the end of the season. We have made one of those.

Lets hope that things are going on in the background and they come to fruition soon ! :ayatollah:

i agree,i thought we'd have a few in the bag by now.The clocks ticking and we need some movement soon but we have to give malky the benefit of the doubt and stay positive.By all accounts he has a good budget and I'm sure he'll spend wisely.

We need to get a few in quick enough to gel with the team in pre season, this is what went wrong with Miller.
What happened to all the Leon Barnett talk, all gone quiet when he was thought to be an obvious target?

Shame that, he did a good job for us and has top flight experience, Malloy must not think he's good enough at this level

Lee, I believe as u will know as well, Malky had a list and he is struggling to persuade them to come to Cardiff, more due to the fact we are a newly promoted club and everyone expects us to go straight back down. Malky is working 24/7 on trying to bring in at least 5 more players, but it is proving hard for him.

  Are we talking about the same Miller that scored on his debut? Campbell hardly had time to ''gel'' either
did he but scored a bagful in his first half dozen games before his injury. For all we know, City could sign Ince by the
weekend, then another two by next Tuesday. Suddenly, thats 4 in. Thats how quick it can happen. I reckon we will
have at least 5 new players in during the next ten days. in plenty of time for the friendlies
