A forum for all things Cardiff City

Tom Ince has returned to training with Blackpool, despite spending Monday in Wales discussing a potential move to Cardiff City.
It is 10 days since Pool accepted the Premier League new-boys’ bid of £8m plus add-ons for their star man.
But last season’s 18-goal top scorer has asked Cardiff boss Malky Mackay for more time to make his decision and he returned to work at Blackpool’s Squires Gate training ground yesterday.
The winger has gone on record as saying there’s no rush to decide his future, although it’s understood the player was impressed by what he saw in Cardiff.
Ince took full part in training with the Seasiders on Tuesday, before spending two hours at Bloomfield Road signing autographs for young fans and a pre-arranged event in the evening.
The Seasiders have been given the day off today after a tough couple of weeks back in training, but it’s fully expected Ince will once again be training with Pool on Thursday.
Pool were continuing their search for new players today, with manager Paul Ince insisting as many as eight new faces are needed, even if his son stays.
The manager said: “If Thomas decides to stay, then that’s great. It will mean I have two of the best wingers in the division in him and Matty Phillips.
“But we still need to add goals to this side – last season we didn’t score enough.”

I guess. Makes you wonder why Karl Oyston is still there, he took the money from the Prem, he could just sell up and be set for life?

The fact Ince was training with Blackpool yesterday would suggest a move to Cardiff is far from done. He just wouldn't risk it.

Got to be honest cant see him coming ,if he was impressed then he wouldnt really be training back with blackpool as he'd be thinking over the move and thinking yes to the move and would be sorting his things out in preperation for it ,not training again with them, still love to see him come as I think he'd do well for us but longer it goes on less i see of him coming here .

If he is that impressed then put pen to paper. The lad is starting to get way above himself as some kind of super star who can mess people around as he pleases. Ok he is a proven reasonable winger in the Championship but that's all, Daddy may be too much of an influence here!!!. Malky I admire your patience and have every faith in the players you bring to the club and the qualities you desire from them both on and off the pitch. Give this young wipper snapper an ultimatum and put him in his place!

Ince Jr is behaving like he's the Guvnor Mk 2. His dad pissed fans off by first signing for Man Utd from West Ham and then he pissed off Man U fans by signing for Liverpool. If the deal does not go ahead today then I'd be surprised it goes through at all.

I hope he signs ,i know its a big decision for him but right now he has 3 options
1. stay at blackpool and the championship again, could get injured
2. join us ,playing premeir league football,a major pay rise and your in the window for future moves should he go well
3. stay at blackpool wait till january and talk to interested clubs so he can leave for free in the summer and ,dad gets a nice fee as well
if im honest I think hes going for the 3rd one ,if it is also down to the fact that malky wants him to move down here ,surely he cant be thinking just that idea kills his move as in his career he will move a few times ,you cant imagine him thinking hes going to agree to this move then go back to blackpool and train with them ,as if he did get injured etc he'd lose his move to the prem,as well we'll see ,just hope it doesnt drag on now as malky may give him to much time and miss out on someone else.
