Blackpool gazette say's........

Wed Jul 10, 2013 9:52 am

Tom Ince has returned to training with Blackpool, despite spending Monday in Wales discussing a potential move to Cardiff City.

It is 10 days since Pool accepted the Premier League new-boys’ bid of £8m plus add-ons for their star man.

But last season’s 18-goal top scorer has asked Cardiff boss Malky Mackay for more time to make his decision and he returned to work at Blackpool’s Squires Gate training ground yesterday.

The winger has gone on record as saying there’s no rush to decide his future, although it’s understood the player was impressed by what he saw in Cardiff.

Ince took full part in training with the Seasiders on Tuesday, before spending two hours at Bloomfield Road signing autographs for young fans and a pre-arranged event in the evening.

The Seasiders have been given the day off today after a tough couple of weeks back in training, but it’s fully expected Ince will once again be training with Pool on Thursday.

Pool were continuing their search for new players today, with manager Paul Ince insisting as many as eight new faces are needed, even if his son stays.

The manager said: “If Thomas decides to stay, then that’s great. It will mean I have two of the best wingers in the division in him and Matty Phillips.

“But we still need to add goals to this side – last season we didn’t score enough.”

Ince senior will be back at Bloomfield Road today to discuss potential transfer targets. Pool have bid for MK Dons midfielder Stephen Gleeson but are again looking for a striker after a move to sign former Newcastle man Nile Ranger fell through.

And the manager is under no illusions about the size of the task in hand.

He said: “There’s a lot of work to be done. We need to get a core of the team. We probably need seven or eight more players in yet.

“The season is getting closer, so we are playing catch-up.”

Many of the trial players involved in the win at Penrith on Saturday continued to train with the squad yesterday, but not Swedish striker Osman Sow.

The 23-year-old played 45 minutes for Pool before flying home. He came on as a 68th-minute substitute for Swedish side Syrianska FC the following day.

Pool had to request special permission for Sow to play. Manager Ince seemed impressed but it remains unclear whether he will return.

Ince said: “The boy Osman did well but it’s always difficult to play in those games.

“He played for his current club the following day, so he must be shattered.”

I'm a patient man but even I'm getting bored now. Suffice to say,if he trains with Blackpool on Thursday, he will not be coming.

As a bit of a wind up I think I'd go back to Blackpool with a bid for Matty Phillips, cost less, less wages and a good backup. Mr Ince would then get to watch and get a feeling of what could have been for him. :D This is obviously if he decides not to come, he may still be up for it yet.

If he trains with blackpool on thursday then we need to move on
If no bids from bigger clubs come in the next 24 hours,i reckon hell stay at blackpool till jan
If we havent got players who want to give 100% then we are in big trouble

Taiwo and Robson-Kanu are two players in the last few days who stated they turned down offers from cardiff. Would you like links? There have also been a few other players over the last few weeks that have snubbed us

Sky Sports also said for the whole of the 2010 summer that Craig Bellamy would NOT be signing for Cardiff City.

They don't get everything right.

Hey, so long as you don't say something positive and actually get behind Malky and the club, eh?

Having said that (serious question) are you actually a Cardiff City or Swansea supporter? At least being the latter would explain your eternal negativity towards everything Malky is trying to do ;)

The club have only mentioned interest in Cornelius, Ince & Wanyama. Everything else is agents bogging up their product and the media lapping it up.

Cardiff you retard. ill put last seasons ST up if you like, and this seasons when it arrives. Im not abusing MM im just dont like him being played like a fool by the 2 ince's

Right..

Tom Ince has had a bid accepted for him.

He done the right thing in visiting us and meeting MM to see the capital and ground etc.

It is his decision. He is not a boyhood supporter of us and is not born from here.
