How much is the re-brand costing - and who's paying?

Wed Jul 10, 2013 8:47 am

The rebrand is obviously costing a lot of money, but who's paying? Is the cost incorporated in Vincent Tans loans to the Club or is he financing it out of his personal wealth? :old:

The fans are paying... :old:

Bit of a cheek if he's loaning the Club the money to pay for it without consulting the fans first. If this is the case, the fans are paying towards a Rebrand that the majority don't want and weren't given a choice. :(

So as a fan, you are paying for and towards a rebrand that you are against, does that seem a bit odd

You aren't understanding what I wrote.

The fans are paying for it, because we've got a club in an alien colour to please people who have nothing to do with CCFC & a hideous badge which nobody likes.

No I understand what you are saying, it's just the double standards that i find strange you say the fans are paying for something they don't want, "so why pay for it" if people fell that strongly and refuse to pay for it then surely the rebrand thing as failed.
You are saying you hate it, but still pay for it.

No double standards at all. I don't like the rebrand, but will not give up supporting the club. Just like I continued supporting whilst disagreeing with club decisions during the Ridsdale era.

We're you around then? Did you like being lied to? If not, I trust you stopped? Or you're just being a massive hypocrite here.

Been going since the Clemo days, and i didn't like being lied to by Risdale, didn't walk away then, and wont walk away now, cant believe I ever would.

But I also wouldn't criticise other fans who chose to keep going or not, as I see it walking away from the club and not supporting it is just helping to put it out of business.

I didn't like what Risdale done, but whilst not liking the re- brand, Vt hasn't lied to us, as he, I was prepared to accept the rebrand and buy a new season ticket for the benefits that came along with the re-brand.

That is not evidence of lying that is evidence that VT was setting out his conditions for £100m"s worth of investment. Read the article not just the headline.

In answer to the OP's question I suppose ultimately Chuckles is partially correct claiming us the fans are paying for the rebrand. That said it is not that simplistic as hopefully 'our' fans in the Far East will be paying the lion's share.

"In the light of the vociferous opposition by a number of the fans to the proposals being considered as expressed directly to our local management and through various media and other outlets, we will not proceed with the proposed change of colour and logo and the team will continue to play in blue at home for the next season with the current badge." quote from TG who I presume was speaking for VT

Anyone who buys season tickets, match day tickets, official merchandise are helping to finance the rebrand, if you like it or not that is a fact. Putting money in to the club means you support it

The rebrand has cost me a nap-sack full of finger skin collected from my keyboard weekly.

I f*cking hate the rebrand however have a season ticket next year as I have for years . Personally think my renewal is costing the club . I refuse to buy any club shit whilst that badge is on anything . Also wont but anything on a match day . I am under the riddlers price freeze . If I didn't renew someone on the waiting list would be paying circa 40 quid more than I currently pay .

Any cash required to implement rebrand changes will be funded via a loan from tan which accrues interest at 7 %. Tan is making money of it basically as the company that holds the loan will be recording interest income equivilant to the cost to our club .

Jesus Christ... It's not hard to understand. I meant the fans are paying because they have a club with a farcical rebrand, not a monetary cost.

I don't think the rebrand is costing the club that much.. If a club had to rely on shirt sales etc most would be bankrupt ..
The rebrand isn't about that there is obviously more to it...

Re: How much is the re-brand costing - and who's paying?

Your just believing the ridiculous propaganda that's getting spouted on here. When the rebrand came out the ardent anti Tans (Who all renewed :laughing6: ) said no plan can be based on shirt sales as the are worth little. Now, fast forward a year and the same people are saying it's costing the club because no one is buying the shirt.

The BU need to sort themselves out, they have some right thickos on this board acting as mouthpieces and its doing them no favours whatsoever.
