Why, it could be absolutely correct, if they've sold 20k shirts to shops, retail outlets and mail order firms then it is quite reasonable they are seen as sold!

Not bothered how many they have sold. I doubt they are either.......the money they make from selling replica tops is pittance.

So if they aren't bothered then why is he making this comment about the shirts in the first place..?

To tell the fans it will be a sea of red in the CCS next season maybe.

Personally I think the Red shirt haven't sold for two reasons;

1. Well, fairly obvious really, its red
2. The official numbers aren't out so you won't know what player to have on the back? I guess

Drip drip drip! are people going to release every word lim said other day? If so this board is going to get very boring having same people saying same things about same man? Just an observation! :thumbup:

I reckon we will make about 1.5m on replica kit sales, if last season is anything to go by. Not a massive amount but add on training wear and other branded wear and its enough to pay flr a michu.

I suppose we'll all find out who is right come the first home game versus Manchester City

Personally, I think there will be a surprisingly high number of red shirts sold, as most fans have (reluctantly or not) accepted the red colour change now and just want to show their support for their side in the Premier League

To be honest, I am not ITK on this one. I simply look at the bigger picture and saw exactly what happened when the free red scarves were handed out. Don't expect anything different now TBH and I know that many on this site were involved in the feeding frenzy at the Brighton game despite their 'claims' to be staunchly blue

Personally, I didn't take a free scarf and I won't be purchasing a red top. But hey, each to his/her own and so long as you are 100% behind the tram come ick off you can wear what you like. Just accept others can (wear what they like) too ;) :ayatollah:

If they weren't bothered about the whole red thing, he wouldn't have given out free red scarves and told fans to stop singing blue songs. :thumbup:

Since their promotion from the Championship last season, Cardiff have managed to sell 20,000 T-shirts.

“This is definitely an encouraging sign. Many top clubs in the EPL wear red and we hope the colour will bring us better luck,” said Simon.

Lets hope we aint int he bottom four all season then 17th will do me come the end of may :ayatollah:

If he explicitly stated the figure as being 0ver 2 seaons then fair enough, I thought he left the time scale ambiguous to give the figures a more current feel. 20 thousand is quite a lot, 20 thousand more than i'd like. :laughing6:
