Fenerbahce star distances himself from Fulham and Cardiff links

Tuesday, July 9, 2013

Dirk Kuyt has denied reports he is set to leave Fenerbahce for Fulham or Cardiff.

The former Liverpool forward moved to Turkey from Anfield for £1m last summer on a three-year deal.

The Dutchman scored 17 goals and provided 15 assists in 54 appearances, helping the club to last season's Turkish Cup.

Reports in Turkey claimed the 32-year-old had told media outlets in the Netherlands that he was considering his future, but Kuyt denied the claims.

"Holiday is almost over. I really missed Fenerbahce. Looking forward to meeting my friends and the fans again," he wrote on Twitter.

"I heard there are some rumours in the Turkish media that I have spoken to Dutch radio. Those are completely untrue!!

"I didn't speak to any media during my holidays."

Good experience Kuyt. Be interesting to see what premiership experience Malky brings in.
