New Signings

All the names we're being linked with like Tom Ince, Mendy, Wanyama etc, I guarantee the next signing will be another one of the blue that no one expects. Malky will pull another one out the bag, anyone else agree?

He wasn't far behind Bony in the Eredivisie last season, and the Jacks are paying around €16m. Finnbogason would be a good €14m at the very least, I would think.

I agree, some very good players in the Dutch league and the German Bundesliga which is worth having a look. The problem we find the players in the Premier League are over priced and are on high wages.

I think for our club to be sustainable in the long term; we may have to balance our recruitment; the home market and the European market (not just any European market; but from a competitive league e.g. Italian, Dutch, German and French leagues)

The only reason why I can see Alfred Finnbogason coming to us is the premier league ambition and to play alongside Aron Gunnarrsson; where both are good friends.

I agree, you may find that Vitesse are not in a position to sell their star player and may slap a silly price tag to recoup and invest in new players. Whereas with Finnbogason he only joined Heerenveen last summer and they're the only team in Eredivisie which operate on a sound financial platform, and wont break the bank to sign players on stupid wages.

I think if we bid 6-7 million we be able to get him; love to see this signing happen, but will always expect the unexpected with Malky.

I don't know what it is with the Dutch league as there are some very good teams in it, but a lot of the strikers there get very good goal to game ratios but quite often flop elsewhere. That isn't to say that all strikers from there will flop, it's just very hit and miss.

I assume there is not much clamouring for defenders in the Dutch League. They obviously make the strikers look world class.

Where did I say that; never implied anything......I think hes a quality player who I rate very highly. The possibility of him signing makes me happy!!!!!
