listen that is the standard of british heavyweight fighters, he'll have a few easy fights now, build his confidence up and make him look like a potential champ again, but lets be honest, the klitscho's are the champs, and they wont be beaten by a brit, I want wlad and vitali to retire as champs, I don't want no-one winning.
I can actually see, price - chisora soon, but neither will go far

I think he must surely retire now, for his own health, as for Thompson his after fight interview was fantastic

Said all along that Tyson Fury was the better of the two. Very interesting to see how he gets on against Haye. Got a feeling Tyson might get a sneaky upset

Retire, why would he retire?

Exciting at domestic and European level, but a long way from world level..
Honestly thought this kid could've been great.

My mate floored Price in the amateurs, so knew he wouldn't be able to go far with his suspect chin. Seems a nice guy, but now knows his capabilities as he will never be able to mix it with the big boys.

a lot of people thought the same, maybe because of the way he was taking people out but imo you need to look at the calibre of people who he did take out, skeleton was connecting regular in first round of their fight, fury is the same but fury has been in better people and can recover when hurt, its not the end of the road for price just a massive rebuilding process, hopefully he gets the demons out of his head

Beacause he took serious damage in that fight, like I said retire for his own health .

The feller was like a scared rabbit in the headlights. Everyone burns up
a certain amount of energy through nerves and fear. Its natural. But it drains Price.
Fear is your friend in a boxing ring but you have to turn it into a positive force or
dont bother lacing up your gloves.

He was scared of getting hit i think its a mental issue for him now. The stoppage looked more due to Price being exhausted more than hurt.

I'm not sure which fight you saw, he took a few decent shots but he wasn't hurt. He was just completely exhausted. Amir Khan has taken a lot more punishment than price

I agree Price didn't look hurt at the end he was exhausted although it wasn't an explosive fight.

He should get on the blower to Adam Booth. I dont particulary like the man, but he would get Pricey in great shape!!

Definitely. The brain is like a muscle. Stress and anxiety can be exhausting. He looked exhausted. Perhaps deep down
he doubted his own ability? Well those fears will have increased tenfold now. Time to hang up his gloves id say

I dont see why people are saying he should think about retiring. He was tired, it wasnt because of his chin. Apparently Lewis was only given 3 weeks to train him even though he asked for 8. With a strict fitness regime aswell as his natural ability he will live up to his potential... Still think he would beat Fury who will get knocked out in the first 2 rounds against Haye

You got that wrong. Lewis spent 3 weeks with him correct but his fitness was already being brought to a peak.
Prices' problem has nothing to do with fitness. He lacks self-belief, he lacks confidence in his own chin. The
anxiety and stress he suffers in the run up to a fight drains him. I dont see him coming back from Saturday night

Do you actually watch boxing or do you just listen to the hype. Price wouldn't get in a ring with Fury, let alone beat him

Fury gave up the British Heavyweight champ when Price was mandatory. Instead going to fight for the Irish heavyweight title. A pointless decision. Fury is awful. He couldnt stop a totally unfit Chisora and got dropped by Pjkic and a former cruiser weight who was about 4 stone lighter and half a foot smaller than him.

Haye has just signed for the Fury fight.. All set for Sept 28th
Mon Jul 08, 2013 2:42 pm
He beat Chisora in his 15th pro fight and was also in pretty bad shape. He's fought people at a lot higher standard than Price and is 5 or 6 years younger. And don't believe for a second that he was ducking Price in regards to the British Title
