Cardiff and Forest after Leicester captain

Sun Jul 07, 2013 12:27 pm

Reports in today's press suggest that Cardiff City are readying a bid for Leicester City centre half Wes Morgan.

If reports are correct then recently promoted Cardiff City are set to bid £2 million for the Leicester City captain, which could spark a bidding war with East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest are believed to still be interested in the 29 year old Leicester defender, despite having their previous £1 million bid rejected.

Nigel Pearson had gone on record saying that he has no intention of selling Wes Morgan, however an increased bid could tempt the Leicester City manager in allowing his skipper to move to pastures new.

Always linked with him.

Media overhype him to death.

Dire defender and a Championship defender.

Overrated. Average.

Bit like Ashley Williams if you ask me.

City need to do better than a journeyman who has never made it.

Considering Williams got on the bench for Prem team of the year this season, I'd say that's a bit of a mad statement.

A mate of mine supports Leicester and says he's a decent player. :?

Is it just because he's not a really high profile player, or is it that he's simply not good enough?

It seems we may be going to spend big on attack and economise at the back. Particularly if this 25 mill budget turns out to be legit as Lim says it is.

Perhaps we are in for some high scoring games this season!

If this is the calibre of player that's supposed to keep us in The Premier League, I think we can forget it!

We've 2 cart-horses at the back as it is - no room in the stable for another

Media overhype him badly.

He is like Zaha for the Sky Sports team.
