Anybody bought a van from Merthyr auctions??

Looking for a new van,anybody been or bought a van from these auctions?,just wanted some information

I wouldnt unless you have some idea what to look out for.

Bought one there years ago,turned out to be a right shed mate,to be fair i dont know what it is like now,my advice would be to take a mechanic with you

I bought a 2 year old one from there about 7 years ago and its still running fine. I've been thinking of changing it for ages but because its been so good I can't be arsed.
You'd probably be better off taking someone with some experience (I didn't) but it could be down to pot luck.

Try and buy one that's part of a company fleet with full service history. Most larger companies rely on their transport heavily so will spend whatever it takes to keep them in tip top condition.

Yes thought about leasing but decided to buy,get a better tax relief for the year if I buy,if I lease smaller relief but obviously would get that every year

I'm selling my 2012 fiat fiorino van mate. Only 15k on the clock with manufactures warranty and as cover for another 2 years. PM if your interested.

not a van, but about 2 years ago i wanted to buy a car. so up to merthyr auctions i went . on a saturday i think. the cars i fancied got sold, so . went back on the wednesday. and the exact cars i fancied 1st time that got sold . were around again. so i went back the following saturday. and the same cars that were sold again. were back in there. strange place . wont go there again

Be very carefull that the turbo is ok, better if you know it's the original as when they go they tend to keep going due to a dirty engine. Normally if a used one has been fitted it will have some sort of marker pen on it from the breaker's yard for id purposes.
