Canadian town centre 'wiped out'

Fireballs were shot several metres in the air, and acrid smoke hung in the night air after the 80-car train carrying crude oil derailed and caught fire in a Canadian town on Saturday morning. Emergency workers helped about 1,000 escape Lac-Megantic, which is close to the Maine border and about 250 miles from Montreal, but it is not yet clear if anyone was killed or injured.
