Pogrebnyak??

Sat Jul 06, 2013 3:16 pm

I admit to reading it on Football Rumours which anybody could make up........but then anybody could do the same on here!

I've seen it mentioned before and ignored it, but he's mentioned today as linked with us. Rumoured he has a release clause for£3m but on large wages. Anybody heard anything or think there could be something in this, had a great introduction to Premiership with Fulham, could be the missing link as far as our strikers go making up a strong four with Cornelius, Campbell & Maynard.
Any thoughts?

Done well for Fulham.

He was piss poor for Reading. Reading fans weren't fond of him and he didn't do well.

We have better in Cornelius, more hungry and wants to prove.

Wouldn't be too happy if he signed. Did well as you say with Fulham but was poor last season

I won't disagree about him under perfuming for Reading, didn't see much of him myself and I'm not swinging from the rafters when you consider some of the names we've been linked with.

I would say in his defence mind that Reading were shit and by comparison, Rooney, Torres, Tevez & Podolski were poor last season by their standards.

I think we could do far worse than this guy, but now cos of some of the names we've been linked to, we expect far better?

Hes a good player with the right service. Wouldn't mind him here really. He'd ask for a lot of money which is the obvious downside to it.

Nope just pointing out he is not good enough and we don't need him.

You didn't point anything out. :? Just responded 'nah'. Also, if he wanted low wages (unlikely) he'd be a good upgrade from Rudy and provide a decent option if Corniellus got injured.

I agree, He was on £30 k with Reading apparently ( their top earner ), he's played over 30 times for Russia, a top National team scoring 1 in 4 yet to some of our fans he's not good enough?

I remember being excited by us signing the likes of Jimmy Gilligan and Phil Stant and even being excited by the prospect of seeing Andreas Ferretti in A Blue shirt ( didn't stay excited for long ), yet some of our fans forget where we've come from and expect us to be signing the World's best and for them to actually come! :laughing6:

I Typed his name into Google and there were a couple of stories of him being their top earner on £30 k, there were others suggesting £65 k which were strongly denied. reading paying 65 k? Do me a favour!

I don't claim to be in the know, I was honest enough to admit I read this on a bit of a joke site but thought it worthy of debate?

As for the " he was on 50 or 60 grand FS " comment, you know that do you? Really? Didn't know you were his agent, gotta just love the know it all brigade :sleepy2:

I ain't claiming to be ITK but I listened to the interviews from the Fulham chairman because after his loan spell they obviously went back in for him.

He offered Pogrebnyak around 40-45k.

I take it he would of rejected Fulham and decided to join Reading for 30k and a great team. :thumbright:
