as for transfers i think we'll see a lot of action soon.

I've mentioned it before but Cornelius signing should have got the ball rolling, you show intentions etc, you've just landed a big name talent. Then we don't sign anyone to back that up. Our players are back in pre-season training now, getting a player is vital. Tommy Smith for example, came in late and might be controversial but I don't think he had that much of an impact. We're in a whole different league now, we can't leave our signings to the last minute because if they f**k us over at the last minute then we're left with a squad that's on borrowed time. Sort it out Malky

Or two and a half MONTHS until the transfer window closes. Plenty of time.

Two and a half months when there's an international break in between, imagine signing a player a week before we play West Ham. He'll have had no time to bed in or meet his team mates. Get them in early, more likely to succeed

Don't need to imagine it. Happens all the time,to all clubs, however big they are. The big boys are always finalising deals on the last day of August.

Patients is a virtue. Don't show your hand too quick and NEVER crumble when clubs expect excessive prices for their players.

It's all good.

Norwich - 2
Swansea - 7
Liverpool - 4
Villa - 4
Stoke - 2

Not good

"Show me all the clubs"

Most of the clubs already have Premier League squads. We dont.

I never said, show me all the clubs. I said show me on 1st September and at least show me all the clubs. It's one sentence.

Exactly this.

Arsenal - we won't be anywhere near them in the table
Aston Villa - may be in a relegation battle but they've strengthened well
Chelsea - we won't be anywhere near them in the table
Crystal Palace - Signed Gayle, will still have to sign more
Everton - Got a PL team already and looking to strengthen with Kone
Fulham - Steklenberg, Ambrioetta etc. Already got a PL squad with the likes of Berbatov in their ranks.
Hull - McGregor and Curtis Davies - meh, they still need to strengthen.
Liverpool - won't be anywhere near them in the table but they have recouped well, their net spend is 0m.
Man City - won't be anywhere near them in the table but they've spent a shit load of cash already.
Man United - The PL Champions, already spent a shit load just on one player.
Newcastle - They will need to strengthen but they have a decent squad, getting to the Quarters of the Europa League.
Norwich - Ricky Van Wolfswinkel - a proven European goalscorer and Nathan Redmond a hot young talent.
Southampton - Will need to strengthen but brought in Dejan Lovren, a quality player.
Stoke - signed a player from Barcelona and a highly rated left back.
Sunderland - Selling their deadwood and bringing in cheap foreign talent.
Swansea - Bought a shit load of new players and spending a huge wad of cash on Bony for the European adventure.
Tottenham - Say no more, will be in the top six and strengthening by buying Paulinho.
West Brom - Brought in a proven Premier League goalscorer
West Ham - finished top ten in the Prem last season and just bought Carroll who still has years ahead of him.

We are being left behind, people will say it's the fifth of July and then the tenth etc. We need to strengthen and fast. Our squad is top Championship, not lower half Premier League

Villa will probably be near us, they've made 8.. Sunderland will probably be near us with 7. Hull with 6, Palace with 5, Norwich and Stoke with 3. Then there's us with 1. Why wait till September 1st? You'd be happy to sacrifice vital points at the start of the season which could come back to bite us?

Yes some transfers go to the deadline but you want the majority of your playing squad hittign thr ground runnning with a good pre-season under them.

Exactly. We have the money etc, you can't just wait and see if players come you've gotta keep eyes close on all types of targets. Of course fans can be impatient, I don't see why we cant

im not overly fussed about comparing the number of transfers against other clubs. Hull have 6 for example, but how good are they really?

Would have like another couple in before pre season started though.
