Jay Bothroyd - Court case & driving ban

Fri Jul 05, 2013 10:59 am

One Cap England wonder Jay Bothroyd was disqualified from driving today at City of London Magistrates Court.

JB was found guilty of using a mobile phone whilst driving his Bentley near Hyde Park in London. He received a driving ban having 9 penalty points on his licene.

Bothroyd failed to appear in Court today indicating that he was 'working' despite having been released from QPR last month and not presently being attached to a club.

The Magistrates dealt with the case in his absence, imposing a disqualification from driving.

Good job a footballer's salary isn't performance related - if it was, Bothroyd would have been driving a Corsa the last couple of years ;)

That said, he served us well until his Englad cap went to his head...
